Check the choke, if that doesn't work the old gas may have left residue that is plugging your ports.

the additive in gas eth. causes fuel lines to break down and not deliver gas to the carb. replace fuel line.

New battery, new starter & still problems starting

Hello! How long have you owned it? Question is directed at the carb and fuel pump...I would suggest rebuilding the carb with kit and replacing the fuel pump at the same time...see photos below...There are a couple of different fuel filters; one for a non- fuel pump (gravity feed) and one with a fuel pump...Your engine requires the fuel pump filter...dirt and varnish build up in the carb and pump especially if the wrong filter is installed...Buy a gallon of carb cleaner with the tray inside...

Carb wont pump gas

If gravity feed works to the fuel line on the carburetor, then the fuel pump is bad. Repair or replace fuel pump. I am looking for fuel resistant sealant to repair fuel pump diaphragms. Has anyone tried Permatex 85420 or something else to achieve this? My application is antique and the part is no longer available at a reasonable cost.

Lawn mower will not start

check gas tank with light is there dirt in tank? did you change fuel filter? is there spark at the spark plug? try a 2 second spurt of starting fluid in carburetor and crank does it fire?if it does then you most likely need to clean carburetor with carburetor cleaning spray, flush fuel lines with spray and swap fuel filter.

Engine starts but won't stay running

an easy way to know that is to start engine and give it a shot of starting fluid ,if you can keep it running by this method I would replace diaphragm.
