We have a set of portable Diverse 2010 phones [one base unit, and two others] they have all stopped working today. there is no dial tone, and there is a flashing clock signal just next to the battery indicator --what does this mean please? the phone line is working OK with our ordinary handsets. Thank you for your help.
I have solved this problem by un-plugging the base phone for the night, and then plugging in again this morning, when it started working again, but I don't understand why! anyway, problem solved.

If this telephone is part of a multiphone set there is one base that is connected to a phone line (or if Magic Jack the internet cord). The other phone charging seats work by radio signal from the base unit. Place the phone on the base unit and let it reconnect for a few minutes. If you bought this expansion set without already owning a base unit, you will need to get the base unit or take this expansion set back for a unit that will opperate by itself.
It looks that the handset is not charging from the base unit: if you have a multimeter you can check that you have a voltage slightly higher than your battery pack voltage on the base unit. Make sure the contacts are clean and If you have no reading, then the charger on the base unit is very likely defective. If you do not have a multimeter, check and clean the (two) contacts on your handset and base unit to ensure proper electrical contact and that you see the charging indicator displayed on both the base and the handset. If that does not work, to assess if the issue is with the handset, swap the phones from the base and the stand-alone charging station and repeat the test: if it works, swap the batteries between the handset to see if it makes any difference. If it works, then the issue might be with the original base unit handset as you have now 'tested' the new battery on the alternative handset. To summarize, it is a test by trial and error swapping. Hope the information is of assistance.
If “No link to base. Move closer to base, try again.” is displayed
even when using the handset near the base unit, the handset may have lost communication with the base unit. You need to re-register the handset to the base unit.
• Make sure the base unit is not being used.
• Have both handsets and base unit nearby during registration.
• Follow steps 1–3 listed below. You have about 1 minute to complete them.
• Confirm the extension number of the handset which has lost the communication by placing the handset on the base unit or charger.
If you re-register the handset using the other handset’s extension number, the other handset will not function.
• If the handset beeps 3 times and “Error!!” is displayed, an error occurred. Try again from step 1.
• You can stop registration by pressing [OFF] on the handset, and pressing [LOCATOR/INTERCOM] on the base unit.
1 Base unit: Press and hold [LOCATOR/INTERCOM] until a beep sounds.
• The CHARGE indicator flashes.
2 Base unit: Press the extension number [1] (handset symbol 1 ) or [2] (handset symbol 2) of the
handset which has lost the communication.
3 Handset: Press and hold [FLASH/CALL WAIT] until “Handset Registering” is displayed.
• When registration is complete, a beep sounds from the handset and the display shows the number. • Wait for 20 seconds after registration is complete while the handset establishes communication with the base unit.
• If the handset beeps 3 times and “Error!!” is displayed, an error occurred. Try again from step 1. • You can stop registration by pressing [OFF] on the handset, and pressing [LOCATOR/INTERCOM] on the base unit.
is the base in range of the other two bases, have you set each phone in the main base so they get aquainted., are you shure all plugins are snug? try a different telephone wire to hook up to the base from the wall (might be a bad wire) if that persists, try relocating the base, and test it their, if you are still without dialtone use a cell phone and call your tsp say it randomly stopped working and that you changed nothing... they will send someone out :P
It is not possible to set up 2 base units to work with same handset as the base unit and the handset are tagged by their operating frequency, which also works as the privacy filter for the user, so that your neighbors cannot pick up your line and use on your expense. For your requirement you need a DECT system that can support multiple base stations.
The additional handsets must be registered to the base unit. Here are the instructions from the manual: HANDSET 1. [menu} 2. "handset settings" - OK 3. "Registration" - OK 4 "HS registration" - OK BASE UNIT Press and hold [LOCATOR] until the registration tone sounds. -if all registered handsets start ringing, press {LOCATOR] to stop, then repeat this step. -after the base unit beeps, the rest of the procedure must be completed within 1 minute and 30 seconds. HANDSET Press [OK], then wait until a beep sounds and Y stops flashing.
For the handset, you can use the menu button to check the HS Setup settings. For the answering machine, you may have pressed the side button that turns it off. It would say "off" on the lcd if you did that. According to the manual (I just bought one of these).
