I am using a Dell Vostro 1510. Suddenly the display which comes after we perform any Fn key related action has stopped. Eg. The volume battery hibernate actions do not come up with a display on the screen

Wireless can be enabled/ disabled on Vostro 1510 by holding Fn Key and pressing F10. When wifi is on, it is indicated by blue LED indicator with wifi signal icon above the keyboard as shown below:

I have a similar issue. I used the Fn and Num Lock keys, hitting them together. It released the keys.

press the fn key and the F1 key together. cant remember for sure, but the fn + F? key (? stands for number) should do it.

Go to advance diagnostics
by pressing Fn key + power key
or by pressing F12 while startup select diagnostics
it will perform a diagnostic testa dn then will give u an option for advance diagnostics select keyboard and then follow the steps.
It may be that particular key not working but to fix it u may have to replace the keyboard,because there is no way by just single key caN be replaced.

Ok, it's handy to keep but ok. Make sure you press and hold these keys till it changes. Number Lock+Fn+Delete and it should turn it off.

Quickly and repeatedly press each key on the keyboard.
Due to the impact, one of them may have become "stuck" in the "down" position, and thus is interrupting the start-up of your computer.

When you hold the Function button on the lower left down (Blue Fn) and hit the F keys the action in blue will occur. Fn + F8 will switch video output for example.

After a long use, some keys get stuck i.e. it seems normal but the button under the key remain in contact. Your problem seems like this. Try to open the key board and check the button. It may solve your problem.

I found this on another site, and it worked on my Vostro 1510:

Try pressing shift + numlock (Scrolllock in blue) to toggle the Fn feature.

Normal numlock comes on, so press it again by itself to turn that off.
