Have a p50h401. In last week a few times, power

Have a p50h401. In last week a few times, power drops out while watching Tv and no red or blue lights. A few minutes later sounds like a click, set turns back on. Last night it wouldn't turn back on until I unplugged it and then it worked all night. Almost like it's over heating. I read on this forum about fan noise, I've never heard a fan go on. Is there a fan in this set? Thanks for the help.

Yes you have some few fan in the if they doesnt work it will hover heat thats could from the fan power voltage from the prower supply or the fan it self
you can try an external fan and blow the air on
the back panel in the aeration notch if it stand
thats your problem the circuit came over heat

Hello williams6590,

Welcome, and thank you for using FixYa!

Your problem is the X-Sustain Board. There are a large number of componants and connections on this board. I recommend purchasing it from eBay! and then having a TV Repair Professional install it.

Here is a link to purchase the part:

My Hitachi P50H401 50 inch Plama TV stopped working last night, it was flashing thee blue light signal three times and repeating, had to unplug to stop that. Now, when plugged back in and the power is...

I had the exact same problem as some one else! We had the tv about 14 months, was coming do
wn the stairs and heard a loud pop. Now we have no audio or video and the blue power light is blinking 4 times which is supposed to be some kind of code, however when i called hitachi, they were not able to tell me what was wrong and as was said by the other person who had the same problem, conveniant for hitachi, the manufacturers warrenty had just ran out!! I will never buy another Hitachi product again!!!There seems to be a re-occuring problem here that requires a class action law suit!

I believe the power supply is bad. Will replace soon and try.

My hitachi P50H401 will not turn on. No sound no

check your sdr boards. you can test them with a multi meter. they are known for going bad. what happens is the two caps by the output go bad on the power supply and they make the sdr boards burn out. you can replace the two caps and save lots of money. then please check out this web page http://www.hometheatershack.com/forums/hitachi/38229-hitachi-p50h401-led-flashes-3-times.html

This web page has info about repairing these. The 4 flashing lights maybe the x sus or the y sus but it's still a good idea to check the sdr boards since its a common failer. I had one tv with a bad sdr board flash 3 time and another set it was flashing 4 times.

Hitachi Plasma TV model P50H401

I think you have problems with the digital main PWB.

If the power PWB failed, turn off and change the pilot ligth to red.
