According to Canon this error is mainly due to faulty x-lamp, power supply, or exposure sensor. As a technician I fixed this type of error by replacing exposure sensor in several similar cases. So replace exposure sensor it will solve your problem.If you have any difficulties to resolve this issue let me know.
