I have copier CANON PC981, when i copying theres an error coming out to displays says E2 followed by 20. and turns off automatically. how to fix this problem, thanks

Dear marlauris,

According to Canon this error is mainly due to faulty x-lamp, power supply, or exposure sensor.
As a technician I fixed this type of error by replacing exposure sensor in several similar cases. So replace exposure sensor it will solve your problem. If you have any difficulties to resolve this issue let me know.

Copier is Canon PC 720 Copier turns on, but makes

You said you unplugged your copier, did you unplug it for 10 to 15 minutes before plugging it back in, plug it into a differed
outlet that you know works and plug it directly into a wall outlet instead of a power strip. Check to see if your copier reaches stand-by mode then make a test sheet.

If this does not work then you have probably have an internal processing component which requires attention.

Canon PC920 paper feed "clacking" & not working.

check the tray and make sure the guides are set correctly, clacking sound is usually because the tray is set for Legal and has Letter, the paper is towards the bac of the tray and the pick up assembly is making the noise,
otherwise the tray is either not going up (broken gear, )

Canon copier PC720

A E2 code deals with the scanner. The optics of the copier. Has itbeen moved resently? Your lens may be off it's track. Turn the copier off and remove the copy board glass and the Black Box and try to move the lens and the scanning mirrors to see if they can move smoothly. If not you have found your cause of the noise and what needs to be repaired. It may not be worth getting fixed. That is older model, it's up to you..
