SOURCE: honda powered gx160 model pressure washer wont start

Buy a new plug, drain out all of the old gas and put in new gas, and take a look at the air cleaner. If the air cleaner is dirty replace it. There you now have a good spark, good fuel and good air. The engine should start. If it doesn't get some carberator cleaner spray and some starting fluid spray.

SOURCE: pressure surge on and off for 2 seconds w/ new Karcher

It can be one of three conditions,

  1. The water supply in is not sufficient
  2. The pump oil is low
  3. The seals are bad in the pump.
I would check the first one first as this is the most common problem.
The water supply hose should be a high volume hose of at least 1/2 inch but 5/8 inch or greater is best.

SOURCE: Honda Pressure Washer HP 5 not starting

You can try spraying some carburetor cleaner into the carb. If it starts for a minute, your carburetor need cleaning. When you added new gas did you remove the old gas first? Is the air filter clean?

I bought a Simpson 3000 psi gas pressure washer. When I changed the oil (first time) I found the oil does not drain out into the pan but spills over the right wheel. I called a Honda dealership and

Easiest thing to do is buy a pipe nipple of appropriate thread size, a female thread elbow the same thread size and a male threaded plug to match the coupling. Turn the pressure washer onto its side with the drain plug pointing up. Remove the drain plug the screw in the pipe nipple where the drain plug was. Thread on elbow to other end of the pipe nipple and then screw in plug to the open end of the elbow. Buy a nipple that gets you just past the frame of the pressure washer and point the elbow at any downward angle you need to avoid draining onto the wheel.

Unloaded valve not working properly

ensure that you do not have any leak not one drop coming from the output of pump to the end of nozzle not one drop after releasing trigger if so replace leak these unloader valves rely on trap pressure if pressure not trap she will cycle over and over.

My pressure washer stops running when i let off the trigger

hi there sal rick85

sounds like the unloader valve is not working or stuck closed , check the setting of the unloader valve may be set too high, the unloader must open in odrder to cycle water back to inlet side of pump - if not builds up heaps of pressure , stalls the engine - service the un loader valves on the pressure head

take look and let me know - what brand your blaster unit is i know its honda but what pump
comet - axd, lw/zw, - in line or axial cam

in the mean time here is good web site on power washers

I need to buy a pressure washer for residential/commercial work

Were I to pick from one of those three, I would pick the Landa. The most reliable pumps are Hotsy and since Karcher bought Landa and Hotsy, those three brands now have Hotsy pumps, though it doesn't say it on the machines.

Lost pressure

try this
dissconect hose and lance , and check for water flow through the machine , if theres none or just a trickle then you may have gunk in your inlet filter ( usually a small plastic gauze insert just where the water feed hose connects )
then start machine , check for high pressure flow ( you will see the difference )
its quite common for the nozzle on the lance to become blocked
if all this seems fine but the lance is vibrating then you have a blockage in one or more of your pump valves .
