My 60GB Creative Nomad Jukebox Zen Xtra seems to be stuck in a loop where it doesn't boot up completely. It gets to the EAX logo, goes blank, and repeats ad infinitum. The only way to break the cycle is to take out the battery. Pressing Reset while starting up doesn't do anything. What should I do?
Mine did the same until i got a new power supply. it requires a 5volt dc pos tip charger with 20 watts. a universal 3-7.5v 2amp charger from radioshack does the trick. make sure the tip is yellow for the charger.
As odd as this sounds, try warming it up. Put it under your arm or on the defroster or where ever. When I would leave mine in the car overnight last winter it would do that rebooting loop like yours until I warmed it up. Don't have a clue why it worked, but it did. Go figure.

upgraded firmware. removed battery. sried to shut doen. tried to warm up unit. nothing seems to work.
I have the same problem. There doesn't seem to be any reason for it i.e. occurs with full battery, occurs in cold, warm and hot environments. The only way to alleviate the loop is to remove the battery for several hours (just removing for a few mins doesn't fix the problem). As oyu can imagien this is extremely frustating if you want to listen to music!
