Signal bar on my blackberry phone.. It has an arrow flashing to the NorhtEast like it is trying to contact a tower, yet i have a signal. But when somone calls me it goes to my voicemail. When i try to make a call it says "no service availble". It suddenly started doing this.. i did not drop phone or anything like that. My service is through PagePlus, which is a prepay that uses Verizon towers. My service is currently active.

I have a tower signal coming in at 4 bars on my blackberry 7130E. It has an arrow flashing like it is trying to contact the tower or something. The arrow flashes constantly. I can not make phone calls or receive them, or texts. I have exhausted all advice given me so far. Nothing has worked. Its almost like the phone itself cannot contact the Verizon tower.

    how?

  • Anonymous Jun 05, 2010

Normally this type off errors occurs due to faulty settings or corrupted software.
If after resetting problem persist then, contact your network operator and find that whether there is problem from that side........ If then also problem persist then update or re install your software......... After updating also problem persist then Sorry there is a hardware problem. Get it serviced......

If you cannot make calls and fixed dialing is turned on, verify that the phone number for your contact appears in your fixed dialing
list or turn off fixed dialing it also apply on text messages.

To turn off fixed dialing, click the trackwheel. Click Disable FDN Mode.

I cannot recieve or make any phone calls or texts. it hangs and times out. when i make a phone call it says no service availble. Its having trouble communicating with the tower. but my wife uses the same service and her phone is working fine.

  • Anonymous Jun 05, 2010

Ok so the phone is really not connected to your wireless service and the best way to have that check is to contact your phone provider so they can also check your account. Try also by the way powering off the unit for about 1 minute to refresh it.

Hello,

This problem happens on pretty much any computer-related device. Something happens and you can send anything. It’s annoying, but there are actually two ways to fix it. You can perform a soft reset, which is done by pressing the ALT + CAP + DELETE keys on your handheld at the same time. If this doesn’t work, perform a hard reset. This is done by finding the RESET button at the back of the handheld. Sometimes, this button might be near the bottom, under the battery cover. Press the RESET button using a pin or paper clip. With either method, you shouldn’t lose any data.

Perhaps, is you did not see the reset button, you can also do the hard reset this way, in the process of powering your phone, pull out the battery straight before it finish loading, this helps fix abnormality on the blackberry phone.

Take care.

I have a flashed Blackberry 7130e that shows 'data connection refused' when I try to access Cricket internet. I performed a battery pop and attempted a soft reset of alt+shift+delete but nothing happened....

Sounds like your Blackberry is locked for certain provider, and it does not accept Cricket SIM card. Also, based on the search for your model, it's Verizon, which could be CDMA only. I don't know, if your SIM card for "old Cricket" (which was CDMA), or "new Cricket / AT&T", which is GSM.

I have a cricket fashed blackberry 7130e it always says data connection refused on the screen. can it be fixed?

I have a flashed Blackberry 8330 for Cricket. I know to get the phone and SMS working is pretty easy. There is a second more complicated step to get the data working. I flashed my phone myself, but I couldn't find the solution for the data.

I need to unlock my Blackberry 7130e

I don't know who keeps posting that CDMA cell phones cannot be unlocked. Of course CDMA cell phones can be unlocked. You can send it in to unlocktotalk.com. They have a mail-in service if there is not a local cell phone "flashing" store which provides this service in your area that can reprogram your phone to work with the new CDMA service of your choice. I suggest you log on to www.unlocktotalk.com to get details.

No option for SMS with verizon

The option to send should be there by selecting your menu key if it is not showing up the application may have been removed by someone prior to you having the device you can always reinstall the applications fully by visiting the Blackberry.com website and just search for your model number and downloads.
