We have this tv, it works ok when connected to cable (Verizon Fios) directly from the wall, or with a dvd or xbox game, also we tried to connect it to two different set top boxes that work with other sets, one was a digital converter given by Verizon Fios and the other is the Set top box Motorola 2500, picture is then scrambled. It's making me crazy. I called RCA and they asked me to contact a local RCA repair place that has gone out of business. I also have spoken to Verizon Fios and the set top box is working, changing channels, volume control works, but there isn't much sound because it is mostly noise from the static of the scrambled picture. It appears it isn't compatible with cable but I'm sure the people that had it just before us had it connected to Cox cable. I just don't know if they had it connected to a cable box.

Due to certain limitations of the Panasonic DMR-EH75V, it can only accommodate composite Video INput and give composite Video OUTput as well as the standard Audio L/R. Additionally, if your Verizon FIOS HD cable box has an RF OUT, that can also be connected to the RF/CABLE IN of the Panasonic.
Please refer to the simplified diagram below.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.
I have the Samsung Sound Bar WS1R model. I tried all of the Samsung codes; TV, audio receiver, and audio amplifier. The DVD code 3918 worked for my Verizon FiOS remote. Program it to your AUX button and it will control the volume while your other buttons; channel, menu, etc work the set top box. I hope it works for you too!
Check the connection cable. If the Verizon box and the DVD player are connecting to the same TV input, ensure that the Verizon fios box is connecting to DVD input, and DVD output is connecting to TV.
If you connect DVD out to Verizon box input, and then TV , you will have to turn off the receiver box to see DVD.
If you use only one TV Input connect Verizon output to DVD input and DVD out to TV.
If instead you use separate inputs on TV, then try using the source/select input button on TV remote, and try different cables.
If you can first connect the Fios box via component and that will rectify the issue and still allow HD. HDMI is funny, if there is anykind of communication issues between the TV or the Fios box you see what happens. You might also call Samsung to see if there is ANY firmware/software updated for your TV specifically to fix such an issue with the Fios/Mortorola connection. If there isn't then the issue is the cable box since the TV works ok on HDMI with other devices.
