The top gas grills work but the oven will not turn on. There is no smell of gas when the oven or Broiler is turned on and light on the top of the oven is on. When inspecting the ignitor it does not glow. I would think at least there would be a smell of gas. Does this seam like i need to replace the ignotor or is this a bigger electrical problem.
After pricing the 2 ignitors and a dual saftey valve (could be all) the best price for all is around $225.or more. Doing the labor myself. Im going to just buy another stove. And I think Ill get one with a pilot light(cheaper to fix) and no self cleaning(dont use much anyway if you are carefull with spills. Price? about $270-370. free del.. and haul off. ibojuan40
If both the broiler ignitor and the bake ignitor are not working it is unlikely they are both bad. You may have another problem. Need to check voltage to the ignitors to be sure.

I have the same problem. It started that it would take forever to light and now It won't light at all. After a while it makes the whole house smell like gas. It seems that the valve is opening but not enough to light. Earlier my wife got it to light but the flame was very weak. The igniter works and glows pretty darn hot. Could this be a voltage problem caused by a bad igniter. Or is the saftey vlave bad or possibly plugged? can the saftey valve even be cleaned, or should it just be replaced. I would really appreciate any help.
