I have double picture on my KP-51WS500 Sony TV

The converence board is bad and if you remove the back it ios located on the right side towards the front and there are a couple of fuses on it, Covergence ICs, need change.

Have a sony kp 51ws500 with a perfect picture for 30sec than the picture fade to a blue screen bow at top and bottom for 2 min than turn off red power blinks

Hi!! my sony projection tv kp-51ws500 shows double picture. there is reddish outline & its out of focus. i need help to reapir this. please advise. thanks

This sounds like a convergence output IC problem. convergence board would have to be removed - remove and replace 2 STK IC's and check the surrounding resistors. Shops usually charge between $200-$400

KP-51WS500 when on it blinked 4 times and has redscreen

Typically if you have a all Red Screen it is caused by either the Red CRT being shorted or The Red CRT Driver Board being bad.

Based on what I have read, I need to replace the G-board. The only manual I have found is for the kp-51ws500 which sony indicates is different.

Sony faded colours and double lines

You probably need to replace the convergence IC's and do a good cleaning of the internal mirror and lens. This repair will involve soldering and un-soldering on the printed circuit board. If you have no printed circuit board repair experience, play it safe, and have a pro do this repair for you as that price sounds reasonable for this type of repair. Good luck!
