No final spin

My wd 1000 is skipping the final spin cycle (4).  It also seems to be going through the other  cycles at much slower rate - taking longer to get to the end.   when it does finally stop, there is still water in the tub.  When I reset it to the spin cycle #4, it then goes through that cycle, spinning no problem.  Please help.

I haven't experienced that problem, but is it possible that the machine becomes unbalanced with the spinning load and then aborts the spin, so it doesn't finish? Has the machine been properly leveled during installation?

My GE GFW650 front-load washer skips directly to end without spinning clothes dry.

If your GE GFW650 front-load washer is skipping directly to the end of the cycle without spinning the clothes dry, there are a few possible causes that you can investigate:
1. Unbalanced Load: If the load of laundry is not evenly distributed in the drum, the washer may not be able to balance it properly during the spin cycle. This can cause the washer to skip the spin cycle and go directly to the end. Try rearranging the clothes in the washer and restarting the cycle.
2. Blocked Drainage: If the washer is unable to drain water from the drum, it may skip the spin cycle and go directly to the end. Check for any blockages in the drainage system, such as a clogged drain hose or filter. Clean or replace any blocked components.
3. Faulty Motor: If the motor that drives the spin cycle is malfunctioning, it may cause the washer to skip the spin cycle and go directly to the end. This is a more serious issue that may require a professional repair.
4. Malfunctioning Control Board: If the washer's control board is malfunctioning, it may not be able to properly control the spin cycle. This can cause the washer to skip the spin cycle and go directly to the end. Again, this is a more serious issue that may require a professional repair.

If none of these solutions work, or if you are uncomfortable performing any of the troubleshooting steps, it may be best to contact a professional technician to diagnose and repair the issue.

What is the meaning of RPM

In general RPM is rotations per minute. This is usually a rating of the washer spin cycle; usually less water is left in the clothing after a faster spin cycle. The washer tub will rotate during the other cycles but that will often be much slower than the spin cycle.

I hope this helps.

(some front-loading High efficiency washers go up to 1200 RPM; top loaders only spin at half that rate usually.)

My Mom is 90 yrs old and lost her machine instructions. The model is front loader WD 80250 NP ( now 4 years old). Can I down load the manual? My other question is: On the Cotton cycle does the programme...

Home Depot Sales Associate-

You can find the manual for the product here.

http://www.lg.com/levant_en/support/product/support-product-profile.jsp?customerModelCode=WD-80250NP&matchedModelCode=NOT_MATCHED&searchEngineModelCode=WD-80250NP&initialTab=documents&targetPage=support-product-profile

The unit is designed to only operate properly with a hot and cold faucet connection. The exception is if it has a cold wash cycle and you are operating it on such. (that model should not) Also, once you set the cycle, you should not manually interrupt the cycle to change to the desired portion of the cycle. Front load wash units take longer to run due to the usage of less water. They also need high efficiency detergents to operate properly and cannot be overfilled with detergent.

Your description of a soap lather sounds like you are using the wrong detergent and in the wrong quantity. HE only.

we can eliminate the motor and the switch since that part is working. sound like your timer might be faulty, timer make everything work in persistence cycles, if its goes bad sometime it tend to jump/skip cycles.
