On a Toshiba satellite laptop when turning on the screen is blank and in white Lett it says enter password but I never set one

you are here because Toshiba's online help is gone. sure.
they tell you there to go to tomshardware and as there.
no PC stated at all model name and numbers..
what if kids set the password, playing with it.
remove the battery from the PC, big one
no AC pack.
push power button for 3 times for 10 seconds each.
wait,5min. hands off PC.
now put the AC pack back.
if the PW is still set, then next replace the coin cell battery inside.
on some Toshiba (none stated) that battery is a rechargeable and if bad, very hard to fix.
let the PC run on AC power only for 24hours in the hope that odd duck battery deep inside recharges, leave the big battery out for all tests, (until PC runs ok again on AC power)

never post about a PC unless, the full model # and name is told
example 1(random)
Toshiba Satellite L455d-s5976

Cmos reset

I have not specifically worked on this make/model of computer.

Technically, you cannot reset this ... I think what you are asking is how can your modify the settings. Typically one would press F2 or F8 or F11 to enter the setup during the boot process. It may be a different F key, it should flash on the screen when you boot.

You could disconnect the battery back up if you can locate it. ..This will remove any custom setting, but will not let you get back in to change it unless you find the correct F key to press.

On the other hand ... there are no more than 12 F keys. You should be able to find the proper one.

If this doesn't work, you should go to www.fujitsy.com/support for assistance.

Thanks for visiting today.

Green light comes on

Most Mitsubishi sets have a feature known as error code operational check. First up unplug the set and replug it. Press and hold the "Device" and "Menu" buttons for 5 seconds. You wil see a series of blinks a 1/2 second pause and another series of blinks. COunt the blinks before and after the pause and let me know. If its an issue other than power supply then you should get an error code. Power supply is the only thing that the operation check does not check.

I am getting A message which says "pause by temperature when the phone should be charging. What does this mean the phone is new.

It's normal with many phones. It's just stating that the phone is taking a brief rest during charging to avoid overheating. It's usually a hot battery rather than a hot phone, and it's most common in warm climates, or on hot days or if the battery is undergoing it's first full recharge.

Is there a Fax modem available to be connected with scanner, copier and printer (three in one already with us.)

your unit has a fax installed in the unit.
Look at page 29 in your manual it will show how to send and receive a fax.
send a fax page 29

feature purpose
1 Phone Hook: the green LED in the shape of a phone indicates that the fax

automatically be accepted.
4 Speed Dial: use to access speed-dial numbers that have been set up from
the front panel or with the HP Director software.
5 Redial/Pause: redials the most recently dialed number when in the ready
state. Inserts a pause (hyphen) when in the dialing state.

Bios setup gone wrong

Since you didn't have any problem before the update, you could flash the BIOS (revert to it's original state) by shutting down, disconnecting all power (battery for laptops), then removing the CMOS battery for 5 or 10 minutes. Replace the battery, reconnect, then boot and your BIOS should flash and return to it's initial revision and default settings.

Radio won't play

1) Go into the settings menu, go to FM settings, and make sure the FM Region is set for United States. If you are outside the US, change it to "World"
2) The radio might initially be set for Pause - to test this, turn to a specific radio station that you know you get, and press up on the clickwheel. The "block" icon underneath the radio station should now change to a play arrow, if indeed it was on pause.
