Why do no panel lights turn on when my Kenmore Model 587.1625 is latched and ready

The door latch in Kenmore and Kitchenaid isn't of the best design. The spring steel latching tab is needs to push down the black plastic slide mechanism when the door in closed. That slide pushes down on a micro switch which interrupts the cycle when you open the door when the dish washer is running. Take the latch assembly back out. You can insert two compression springs inside the slide on each side of the latch. They are approx 3/16 Dia x 3/4 to 1 inch long. In the hardware dept at Home Depot or Lowe's..The springs will push the slide down hard enough to activate the switch. Right now your dish washer thinks the door is open.

Electrolux EIDW6305GS1 will not run , keeps flashing error code 11 which indicates drain valve problem. I have replaced drain valve, wash pump, float valve and reed switch but no luck, still flashin

Hello Gene Skates - Typically error code E11 indications that there is an issue with the drain valve, possibly the main control board is timing out before receiving status of drain valve. This is typically not a DIY job and strongly recommend contacting a professional to check the wiring between the main control board and drain valve since you have already replaced the drain valve.

Error code 11 on electrolux wave dishwasher

Hello - Typically error code E11 indications that there is an issue with the drain valve, possibly the main control board is timing out before receiving status of drain valve. I strongly recommend contacting the technician that repaired your unit previously to check the wiring between the main control board and drain valve. Some certified technicians warranty their labor and part for 30 days.

How to put steering wheel back on

Are you talking about the spring and C-clip that go on the steering shaft UNDER the steering wheel? There is a special tool required to do that. However, I MADE a tool to accomplish this task by using a short piece of electrical conduit that was jus large enough in diameter to slide down over the steering shaft. (I think it is 5/8" conduit - can't get to my tool box right now to check) Anyway, measure the diistance from the end of the shaft to the groove where the C-clip snaps in. Cut a piece of conduit to this length. Then put your spring on and slide the C-clip on as far as you can by hand. Then put the piece of conduit over the shaft so it is contacting the the C-clip. Then use a flat-washer on top of the conduit and insert your steering wheel fastening bolt into the washer/conduit apparatus and screw it into the shaft. The bolt and washer will push the conduit, which will force the C-clip to slide down the shaft and compress the spring. When you screw it far enough, you will hear the C-clip "Click" into the groove. Voila! your spring and C-clip is installed. Unscrew the bolt and remove the conduit and washer, then assemble the rest of your steering column/steering wheel components.

How do I replace the drum gasket at the rear of Model 97273100.

Replacing gasket is fairly simple - need 2 people. UNPLUG FIRST - 1. Remove the plastic cover on top of machine that is mounted to back of control panel. 2. remove dispenser - push down on tab at back and it will slide all the way out. 3. Remove lower front cover by removing 3 screws holding it on bottom. 4. Remove 3 screws holding top panel on back of machine and slide cover back approximately 1 inch and lift off. 5. Remove the 3 screws that hold the control panel on - note these are different type of screw so keep track of which screw goes where - one of the screws is next to dispenser opening. Once this is done you can reach in to machine and disengage locking tab on right side under "washer temp" - have someone hold this part aside if you do not want to disconnect the cables. 6. Remove spring loaded wire securing door seal to front cover. 7. Remove the the 4 screws holding the front cover on. This item is a bit heavy so be careful. Disconnect the three door latch wire harness and place this aside. 8. On the right side of the gasket you will find the clamp screw that holds the seal to the drum - loosen this screw almost all the way and remove this wire clamp. carefully remove the two tube connections and remove the gasket completely. Take note how these were installed before removing. Now you can carefully clean the gasket seats on the drown and door and replace the gasket and reverse the steps to put the machine together. While you have the covers off it would make sense to remove and clean the pump strainer mounted on the lower cross support - this can be messy with lots of water coming out so go slowly and have plenty of towels and a shallow pan to catch the water with. HOPE this helps.
