There are lots of IC's in the unit. Order from Roland support parts. That will be the only source.

Repair for vintage keyboards.

Static is usually the result of a bad connection. I suspect there is a bad solder joint. If you are electronically inclined, use a listening device or oscilloscope and connect it to the volume control terminals if it is not present on the input to the volume control then it is the volume control that is bad which happens in old equipment best solution is replacing the volume control or you can try cleaning it with an aerosol product for this purpose.

I have a roland xp-50 with no power at all. What should I try?

ftp://ftp.roland.co.uk/productsupport/

I would start by checking AC cord is good, look for a blown fuse (BE CAREFUL !!!!) or maybe a defective OFF/ON switch. This keyboard is from the mid 1990's so PLEASE consider this before having it expertly repaired. $$$$$$$

I have a very loud hiss/buzz sound coming from my Roland. It goes away if I lower the high volume knob. This just starred to happen recently. I tried changing connections from ch1-4 but no fix.

If this ties to a keyboard, make sure the keyboard and this are BOTH plugged into the same receptacle. You should send a higher level from the keyboard (turn volume up to around 70% or so) and use less volume at the input gain of this amp. Use more at master volume if the amp has one if needed. If the hiss is there with NO input cables plugged in and input gains at 50%, that is objectionable, the amp probably needs servicing. Unused channel gains should be clear down.

Need assistance in getting details of part number for power mixer

This is just a guess and the purpose is for you to get the datasheet and compare connections and see if they make sense... I have to do this often myself when documentation is unavailable.

Look up the datasheet for LM3886 on google and compare the package, electrical connections, etc. to see if that might be what is used.

MANY audio amps at this power level use this chip for the 50 to 68 watt range. They cost about $4 from the right sources.

If this is not what is used, the amp is probably in the TDA series of 5 and 7 pin TO220 style packages.

Other methods for these amps may involve class D switching amps and those usually use MOSFET transistors, not IC's.

Roland keyboard. Extremely static-y speakers. Cuts out.

It sounds like your volume slider is dirty. Try carefully and judiciously spraying a good quality contact cleaner into the slider and working it. do not use a lot. It only takes a little. Also do not use WD40.
