My Rowenta Perfect Steam DG2580 will not produce steam. Would this be the element, boiler, switch malfunction?

If the boiler does not operate or the red light on the control panel comes on even though there is still water left in the tank, we suggest you check the water tank is not empty. You can also check the removable water tank (depending on model) is pressed down firmly in place and press the restart button located on the control panel. Also the steam output control dial may be set at minimum (depending on Model); therefore turn the dial up to increase the steam.
By other problems there must be a thermal fuse between the heating element and the switch build in a heatshrink or just as it is (how its look like) always good to know why that thermalfuse could be broken, that if it give no resist to show if measured that its important before replace that the cause is found.

thermal-bskgf21iojrsnsthk45xa5xe-2-0.jpg By replace remember that you should place a pliers near the housing so the heat of a soldering iron on the end of one of the wires cannot pull into the fuse-element because it will direct damage, the heat must pull into to the pliers a screw terminal can be also a little solution to it.

Find out there is no leaking or
hot colored dots on some points. control it bevor repair.

My Delonghi ESAM3200 is not heating up as quickly and taking much longer to reach steam temperature. Can anyone advise what the problem may be? Is it the thermostat in the generator? Can the thermostat be...

Answering an OLD but still relevant qustion -- Replacement of the NTC thermistor (Nt Sensor, 5232105100) is possible, technically. The part is cheap, about $14. HOWEVER, be aware the thermistor is epoxied into the steam generator housing. So replacement is non-trivial. It's far less trouble to just spring for the cost of the whole generator. Buy new o-rings, too, as the old ones eventually leak and cause the generator frame to rust.

I have the EAM3200 coffee maker and it seems to be leaking somwhere into the front and back of the drip tray and produces only half a cup of coffee - rest of teh water goes in the drip tray seems to be...

I have the same issue. I have tried replacing the O-rings in the water heating element and the steamer, and it still does this. For a temporary fix, try running the steamer for about 30 seconds, or until it is running "full steam", and immediately make your coffee. This has worked for my machine for the last 4 months. It is used about 5-10 times a day at my work, and this still is working. I believe the issues is it is losing pressure somewhere, and the water cannot travel through the infuser. I have taken apart my machine more than 10 times, and I still cannot find out where the pressure loss is. I know this is a temporary fix, but it will work until something more permanent can be done. Hope this helps!

I have the EAM3200 coffee maker and the coffee comes out of the spout very slowly. We have the grinding dial set for course grinding and we have the flavor dial set to weak. The coffee is very strong...

I find the machine needs a good cleaning at least once a month, make sure you remove the filter unit and clean it well, use a damp cloth or paper towel. Mine went like this when I broke a silicone O-ring, it gets lodged in a waterway and partially blocks it. I describe how to replace them in another solution here, take a look.

My husband threw away the opereating instructions for our iron.

SELF CLEANINGIt is important to “Self Clean” the iron at least every two weeksto remove scale, calcium, etc. The harder the water, the more often the iron should be self cleaned.1. Set the variable steam control dial to any steam position.2. Fill the water tank up to the “MAX” level.3. Stand the iron on its heel. Plug the iron into the electrical outlet.4.Press the electronic temperature control button until you get the “MAX” temperature setting on the display panel and wait until the iron heats up and temperature setting light stops flashing.5. Turn the variable steam control dial all the way to the right to the self-cleaning position and hold the iron horizontally over the sink (Fig. 8).6. Boiling water and steam will now be ejected from the holes in the soleplate. The impurities and scale are washed away with it. 7. Move the iron back and forth as this happens.8. If there is any water left in the water tank after the iron stops steaming, just empty the remaining water in a sink following the instructions for emptying the iron. 9.Turn the variable steam control dial to the “0” position when the water tank is empty.10.Place the iron back upright on its heel to cool down before storing.
