OK...I had this same problem, and it turned out to have something to do with my bottom storage drawer....the one that holds the pots and pans. A thin flat cooking implement which was stacked on top of my pots had started to slide behind the drawer. Which, of course, kept the door from closing all the way. I believe that this kept the actual oven door from completely closing. I read elsewhere that the oven door not closing properly would keep the oven from lighting. I pulled out the storage drawer, removed the item, closed the drawer, and the oven lit like a charm.

Your range is a Direct spark model.oven won't ignite - ce00970.jpg8278a1e.pngIf you want a Direct spark manual, let me know. The module gets confirmation from relay on the oven control and sends dc power to the gas valve. I suspect that gas valve be cause the top burners work which is usually and indicator that the module is fine. The terminals ohms should be 216 ohms between each of the 3. If any are open the valve won't work.

SOURCE: on my whirlpool gas range only 1 burner out of 5 will ignite. oven light works, oven ignites. only 3 months old and worked fine until now.

Most often when cleaning, soapis left behind and obstructs the flow of ignition gas normally directed at the exact point of the spark. Check this area and use a small wire brush to clean these area of the burners that do nto work. Let us know if this helps. Eric Campion

Viking range burners won't light

from I review I found it might be this...Simple replacement of Glow Bar igniter requires removal of entire front panel with many screws
so sounds like your igniter might be shot - it heats up to ignite the burners - easy fix - get a long torch lighter and just light the gas after turning it on -

Tappan 32-1272-10/07056-8509-4080 gas range/oven pilot light works, main oven burner won't come on

You will need to look and see if the igniter is glowing a bright red. If it is weak, the oven will not light. Here is the igniter if you need to order it.

Also check and make sure your getting 3.2-3.6 volts AC to the valve.

Burners work fine, pilot light in oven is on, but oven won't ignite

Make sure the thermocoupler is being heated by the pilot light flame. It could also be gunked up but you can clean it with a scouring pad, or it might need to be replaced. The thermocoupler is the most likely cause because if it isn't heated then the gas valve will not open up and no gas will flow to the burner. Since your pilot light is on then you do have gas to the valve.

My gas oven won't work - it worked yesterday. The burners work fine. No clicking sound, no gas coming through. Checked plug in - fine; re-set all breakers; all electronics around it are working.

Which oven do you have? I need a model number to help you. There is a model that has a electronic ignition system that if the regulator in open (blown internal fuse) the oven will not work. So I need a model number to verify.

I have a magic chef oven model # 61S04PAW. the

Electric gas igniters sometimes get stuck in one position causing a clicking sound. The clicking sound that you hear is the electric arc that is pulsing from the igniter conductor (wire) to ground (the gas burner). It receives power from the electrical outlet that the stove is plugged into.
Residue from food and sometimes cleaning products may be preventing the igniter from producing a spark (Arc) to the base of the burner. This is a common problem that occurs when the stove has been cleaned or food is allowed to build up. Make sure that the igniter and the burner base are clean and dry. This will help with proper operation. Oven cleaner and a small tooth brush may be used to accomplish this. Another problem with ignition may occur if you have too little (touching) or too much space between the igniter and the base of the burner; it will prevent the burner from igniting. You should only have a little more space than the thickness of a nickel between the burner base and the igniter. A good “blue” arc from the igniter to the burner base is optimal. If this doesn’t work, you may need to replace the electric igniter module. Good luck.

Tappan gas kitchen oven will not heat

Almost always a weak oven igniter. Remove oven floor by removing 2 screws at rear of floor. Remove flame spreader from burner, if it has one. Turn on oven and see if igniter gets red. It's the caged thing on burner tube. If it does but doesn't light gas, replace igniter. UNPLUG UNIT FIRST!!
Put dishwashing soap on threads of 2 screws holding igniter in place. This will allow it to come out easier. Do-not use oil. It will make your oven smell like a diesel truck.
Remove screws. You will have to remove drawer in front. Underneath you can fin wires from igniter. These will be cut at igniter and connected to igniter with enclosed wire nuts. The 2 wires to igniter go either way.
