Because the paper size of your software like Word is "custom", and the paper size setting of the printer is "ltr", the printer won't print until you change the paper size to "freesize". Change it in "Additional Functions" menu on the printer (Canon D340). (Word will change the paper size setting automatically if you adjust the margins of your paper too far)

E100 means laser section trouble, on some copier it will show E100 when the drum is worn out and you need to change the drum unit. But also the laser unit can be faulty.

First, try to replace the drum unit, then try to reconnect the laser unit, try to replace the laser unit or DC controller.

Hi,the most common cause for E100 is the drum unit. At the rear of the drum unit should be a small peg pointing into the machine. This gets broken off. It's purpose is to operate a laser cut off shield when the drum is removed so to prevent laser exposure. If peg is missing laser will not be detected by the system and give E100. Can be repaired or will require a new drum if it has done more than 40 to 60K copies.

Your printer show Error code E000 suggests the problem history has recognized all of these of the following error codes four moments: Error code E001;Code E002;Error E003. Printer Canon E000 error will be removed in the service mode.
Please try reset factory your canon printer..but if it still show error code E000 again ,you can try with a genuine fuser unit (reseting fuser unit). Good luck

Solution 3: Try this, atempt will clear canon E000 code in Service mode:

1.Press ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS, #
2.Go to #7 Printer and Press OK
3.Go to #4 Printer Reset and Press OK
4.Yes = ( * )

Check that all the doors are shut. If that does work unplug the printer and the E100 error code should stop.

The error code 100 - Excessive Repeat Protocol during Transmission. Causes
1. Poor line condition.
2. Low transmission level.
3. Echo on the line.

Try reducing transmission spped.
