I have a philips DLP 50" TV. Every once in a while it will go to a black screen with no sound or anything and then it will come back on after a second or so! It started only doing it maybe 1 time a month and now it seems like it does it a lot more often. What is wrong with it and how do I fix it? The TV is only a year old!
I would need to know the model number of the DLP to offer any worthwhile advice. Is the set still under warranty from phillips? If so I would get warranty involved before it runs out DLPs are expensive to repair.
The reason I asked was there has been some issues with the light engines in those models and thats close to 1000.00 to repair. However aarons are good they will probably replace the set and give credit for all payments if they cant repair it. Wish I could help you more but thats a sure sign of a light engine failure.

It's model is 50PL9126D. Well we purchased it from Aaron's last year and I think that it's still under warranty from them but I am not sure. I just want to know what is wrong with it, before I have them look at it to make sure it's fixable and worth it!
