Radio is beeping every 30 secoonds and no buttons are being pushed

You have a poorly charged or bad battery. It takes more power to transmit than to receive. Usually the first thing you lose with a low, bad or poorly charged battery is transmit.

Try a known good battery in the radio. This should solve the problem. If not, check your battery contacts, as you may have one which is bad or not making good contact.

Clean your contacts with a pencil eraser to assure good connection with the charger.

Best advice....bite the bullet and send them back. Any problem that pops up when a device is NEW...will only get worse in time. Best you exchange them for a good working set now to avoid problems down the road.

You have your "roger beep" turned on.

Holding the + (plus) button in while turning the radio on will turn the roger beep on/off.

To fix: turn on unit, turn volume all the way down to 00, push and hold volume button for 10 seconds until beep then release, then turn volume all the way up to 50 (max) and push and release volume button.

enter the radio code by pushing buttons 1,2,3,4 on the radio and then push button 6 to confirm the code

if code is 3756 you sohuld push button 1 for 3 times, button 2 for 7 times...and then button 6 for few seconds

ok ill teach you how to check the remote first... first get a radio and set in AM (amplitude modulation) then try to push the button in front of the AM radio, if you push the button of the remote control in the front of radio AM you can hear a sounds beep beep beep every push you can hear a beep. if you hear the beep sound the remote control is good.... if not its bad....

The Motorola TalkAbout radios, especially the FR50 and FR60, are notorious for making a variety of beeps when you push buttons and activate various functions of the radio.

The beeps can be helpful when you are trying to operate the radio in low-light situations. But they can also be mildly irritating.

Sadly most models of TalkAbout do not provide any way to disable the beeps. I'd suggest not using this particular radio for covert surveillance missions.

By keeping the PTT button pushed, if you get a rapid beep and the red led is blinking, sounds like a bad battery. Batt voltage is a nominal 7.5v. anything lower than 6.25v and the low battery beep starts. A rapid beep, and no red led blinking, an error in the transmit freq.

Had this problem with the Baumatic 13. Perhaps the door is not closing properly. Make sure you push the door hard in the top centre. It should beep once and then start after a few secoonds.
