Dash and interior lights flash and truck will not start. Lights continue to flash even after the key is removed. I have to disconnect the battery to stop the lights from flashing. There are no sounds when you try and start the truck, but the lights stop flashing when you turn the key. When you let the ignition return to neutral, the lights will start flashing again.

Your battery is bad. Happened to me a month ago. I checked the alternator, it was fine. I put a new battery in ,and has been trouble free. I had no warning, other than it was the factory battery and it was5 years old.

Why won't my car start? no lights interior/exterior.

It seems that the battery is incapable of holding a charge. You might try disconnecting the battery cables and try charging the battery again over night. Reconnect and see if anything works - if nothing works - it's time for a new battery.

Engine won't start. Dash lights flash rapidly when key turned.

the battery says 12 volts but may be dropping to 4 or 5 under a load...i would suggest jumpstarting the car and see what happens.the battery should read in the high 12 volts and not less than 9.5 under cranking. the dash lights go out on your car when starting, and the alarm will go off ,and disable the ignition if the voltage is too low in cranking the car because the computer will shut it down and activate the anti theft.....check your battery posts are tight. best of luck
