E-1 F-5 is a faulty door latch switch. Try to turn breaker off to stove for about 30 seconds then turn breaker on while someone is pushing against oven door to relieve pressure. If this does not work try selecting self-clean mode again and then cancel it. If none of these work you will need to replace the lock latch assembly. Hope this helps.

I have a Kenmore 95115102 and all I did was manually cycle the door latch a few times. It's at the top of the chassis when the door is open.

I have a Kenmore 95115102 and all I did was manually cycle the door latch closed/open a few times. It's at the top of the chassis when the door is open. After that, I closed the door and restarted the self cleaning cycle. Worked like a champ.

Failed: retry I have a F3 showing on my stove , which according to my booklet is a fault sign to disconneci and (More) (More) F5 showing on your kenmore range , which according to my research is a fault sign to disconnection which will need a repair service

what youn will have to do to fix up your range is to unscrew it and then connect those that have lost their position back properly

thank you and good lock.

SOURCE: E1 F5 error on self cleaning oven

Press the self-clean button. The panel becomes blank(---), then press the up arrow( ^ ). The panel will appear 3:00 (indication for the duration of self-cleaning). The oven will lock on its own and start the self-cleaning.

This code means the control has detected a problem with the door latch switch. Switch is defective and needs replaced. Part # is W10107820 and cost is $39.99. You can get it at http://www3.sears.com/.
Before calling a repair shop,go to the circuit breaker box and turn off the power to the oven. then turn it back on and then see if the door is released and the error is cleared.
its probaly bent door latch or door sensor gone bad. try pushing on the door when you start the clean cycle see if that helps.
if not our suggestion would be to replace the part....

good luck...
if you got insight into your problem from us , A very helpful rating is appreciated for answering your question

SOURCE: I tried to set my self-cleaning on my Electric

The E1- F5 error is a door lock error.

The control (TIMER) has likely failed in this instance - BUT...

Sometimes when you disconnect power to a range and reconnect it the electronic range control gets confused.
You should disconnect power again for 15 seconds and reconnect and see if that helps.

If it doesn't cure the E1- F5 error hold the bake button in until E0- F2 appears in the display.
This is the error for a stuck button on the keypad and is the way to clear the memory of the electronic range control.

Sometimes these work, but if the control has failed it won't make any difference.

I did the self clean on my oven, and now the oven door will not unlock (E1-F5-) pops up onto the oven screen.

Hi

Error E1 F5 means that the control has detected a problem with door latch switch. Switch off the power and unplug it from the mains. Check after 5-6 minutes whether the error has disappeared. If the error is still there then once again start the self clean cycle. Press the self-clean button to start the cycle. The panel becomes blank (---), then press the up arrow (^). The panel will appear 3:00 (indication for the duration of self-cleaning). The oven will lock on its own and start the self-cleaning. After self cleaning is done wait for 15-20 minutes and open the door. Try moving the latch manually to unlock it. hope this helps...

Problem codes for self-cleaning ranges

My experience (Kenmore Ultra-bake Model 665-72002102) was that E1 F5 meant an error with the oven lock switch. In our case, the latch was partly stuck from food or other debris. Just moving the latch back and forth loosened the scale that was making it stick, and it worked again.
