I have an Omega/Lambda/Lexicon and the vocals seemed to be delayed with the timing established by the instruments. Any ideas of what to do?

Without the configuration you are using we have little to go on. How is the system wired? Are you saying when you run instruments AND mics into this then record they do not play back together? If the instruments are MIDI types and you play back along with the vocals I would expect the MIDI instruments to be delayed a little as it takes time to transmit the note info at 31.25Kb... It takes about 1/3000 second for EACH MIDI character and note messages take three of those for a total of about 1 ms. One millisecond IS noticeable by the ear... and if you have several instruments it may take several milliseconds to service all the instruments. If you are recording ANALOG instruments the delay should be imperceptible.

Lexicon Omega will not play any sound on Windows XP

one of several install steps (the steps seem to vary depending on which manual you can find) mention checking your sound device setup in control panel. ON one machine I installed the sound devices were not affeted. On a 2nd PC they were changed from drivers installed with PC to the Lambda driver

Win XP settings->control panel->Sounds and Audio Devices then select Audio tab. Make sure the three areas are set up to use your PC's default drivers and not lambda's.

You may need to verify this again when reconnecting the Lambda USB cable. Sort of new but ran into this "issue" as well.

Found info in Lambda Studio Software Installation Guide I downloaded, step B following driver install.
