Windows operating systems require a valid product key in order for them to work. You would have to purchase WinXP in order to get a product key. Unfortunately, WinXP is in its last days of its product lifecycle and will not be supported. You'd be much better off trying to install Win7.
Hello, You dont need a product key for Service Pack 3 to upgrade from service pack 2. You can simply download an official copy of Service Pack 3 for Windows XP from Microsoft's downloads center.
The service pack 2 and 3 full client dowloads are available from Microsofts website. The only key you need is for your Windows OS not the service packs.
A service pack upgrade for Windows does not require a new product key. The original key that you supplied when you first activated the software remains the same.
