Probably a crack in a seam rather than an obvious hole in the bottom. Empty the contents and submerge in water. Or conversely, fill up the kayak with water and make note of the leaks. Food coloring in the water may help to identify the area.

Fiberglass repair kits are available at the hardware store for minimal cost.

Rheem 50 gallon Pro52-2 has EF .95, which makes it ordinary 240Volt 4500 watt non-simultaneous electric water heater that produces about 21 gallons hot water per hour, with 67 gallon first hour delivery.

Anode keeps tank from rusting.

My family is moving in...how do i increase hot water availability?

large water heater, turn p the themo stat to a higher setting ( watch for burns with young childern and older folks)

or the best install a tempering valve. this valve mixs hot water with cold water before it goes into the building.

Again if you have young ones or old people they can burn faster than any other group.the best is a larger heater for the DIY person.

Thanks Tom

I have a Savio 2220 waterfall pump that is acting up. I have been running the waterfall for 3 years without a problem. Recently the pump will run a short time and trip the gfci. After letting it sit for a...

It sounds like a seal has broken and water is getting inside, tripping the GFCI. it may be possible to get a new set of gaskets for the pump, but it is not really an easy thing to do. Three years if it runs all day is quite a lot of hours. You could try a local electric motor shop, and ask for an estimate.

Water leaking from the base of the tank

If you'r really lucky you may find a leaking fitting on top of the water heater thats draining down inside the shell and out the bottom, otherwise its time to replace a rusted out water heater.

How to pack an open cockpit kayak

Your main considerations are waterproofing everything. Bags within bags is the order of the day so to speak. Travel light and justify everything you pack for it's usefulness. Pack things you will need during the day closest to the access hatches / cockpit, with other items packed deeper in the bowels of the craft.

Check the trim of the boat once packed. Look at it from the side as it is floating. It should be ever so slightly stern heavy. If it is bow heavy it will be very difficult to steer.
