When I try to access the internet the page display, Windows warning. By accessing this website your computer may be at risk. the computer will not allow me to access anything. I called tech support and they stated that I would have to pay 139.99 to update my software. Is there any way that I can get these updated or remove the viruses without these costs?
You could just simply do a system restore to a date before which you started seeing this message. Later remove the suspicious antivirus and go for any reputed one.
To me it sounds like you have picked up a version of MS Antivirus.
It's a Scareware Rogue Anti-Virus.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MS_Antivirus
To quote from the above Wikipedia article,
"MS Antivirus (Also known as Spyware Protect 2009) is a scareware rogue anti-virus which claims to remove fake virus infections found on a computer running Microsoft Windows.
It attempts to scam the user into purchasing a "full version" of the software"
MS Antivirus has evolved through the years. All versions of it try to imitate Microsoft's security icons, and also make it seem as though it is a genuine Microsoft antivirus program.
Names examples such as XP Antivirus, Windows Antivirus, Antivirus Pro, Antivirus Pro 2009, Win PC Defender, Antivirus 2007, 2008, 2009 and 360, are just a few examples.
It will eventually take hold until Administrative rights of the administrator are blocked.
No access to Windows Explorer (Not to be confused with Internet Explorer), Control Panel, or Task Manager, for example.
Internet access is blocked, so the user cannot download an anti-malware program to remove it.
I suggest you download the free version of Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, and kick it to the curb.
I have used Malwarebytes for the above purpose, and it worked great!
Found it on my nieces computer 4 years ago, and didn't feel like restoring Windows. (Destructive Recovery)
Haven't had any problems since.
Do not let the fact that this version of Malwarebytes is free, lead you into thinking it isn't a very powerful program.
I will put it up against any paid for program like it.
Download the free version of Malwarebytes to the computer you are using now, and burn it to a CD disk.
Install the CD disk in the infected computer's optical drive, and install Malwarebytes.
This is information on Malwarebytes on Wikipedia,

This is the download website for the free version of Malwarebytes,

[ Left-click on Download Now (5.87MB) to the right of the green square ]
I would also recommend using a free registry cleaner.
Clean up the registry to make your computer run faster.
CCleaner

Need guidance in downloading, installing, or using the two above application/programs, state in a Comment.
[I also recommend that after you have removed it, that you turn System Restore off.
Run Malwarebytes one more time, then turn System Restore back on.
(Be SURE to turn System Restore back on)
Restoring your system isn't the only thing System Restore will do.
It will also have the scareware rogue antivirus files saved ]
Possibly security setting issue. In your Internet Explorer, click Tools->Internet Options. Click Security tab, then click "Reset all zone to default level".

Need some more info on the specific problem. Which Web Browser are you using? Also, do you have any Anti-Virus installed (Macafee or Symantec)?
