Problam i can't get to my login page what am i suppose to do? i need the password for my router and i can't get it

Are you looking to change the password to login to the router or the password to access the wifi?

If you need the login password for the router's setup page, the default username: admin, password: password.


If you need the wireless key or password, you need to access the router's setup page by typinghttp://www.routerlogin.net or 192.168.1.1 in the address field of your browser(IE or Chrome). On the login use the default username and password(admin, password).
After logging in. Look at the main menu on the left, click on Wireless Settings, from there you can check the WEP or you can setup wireless security from there if you haven't done so.

**If by chance you are unable to access the router's login or setup page, you will have to reset the router to factory settings by holding the reset button on the back of the router using a paper clip or a pen for 30 seconds while the router is plugged in to the power outlet. You will then be able to access the router's setup page using the default username and password.

You have to enter the router's configuration page by typing 192.168.1.1 and you will get a log in page.

Default user name:admin
Default password:

As soon as you are logged in, please go to the wireless tab. You're suppose to see the security key if not you may change it to a new one.

If default user name and password rejected and you don't remember setting up your login name and password, you have to reset the router. Get a paperclip or pin and press the reset pinhole on the back of the router. It's in red color. Press and hold it down for 5 seconds. After that back to the login page by typing 192.168.1.1 on the address. This time for sure the default username and password will work. Now since you reset the router you have to run the wizard to setup the router.

Please access router's configuration page by typing 192.168.1.1. on a browser's address bar and hit enter. You are supposed to get a login page. Please use default login credential using the info below.

Username: admin
Password: admin

If this username and password is rejected you may reset the router to its factory default settings by pressing the reset pin hole on the back of this device. You will need a paperclip to do it. Hold it down for 10 secs while the router is on. Leave it for about a minute and try accessing the configuration page and try the default username and password again.

As soon as you are logged on please look for a wireless settings tab. Look for the wireless key if it's all dots or asterisk you may go ahead and change it. Take note if there are some other wireless device connected to this router all of them will be disconnected but what you just have to do is to reconnect then using the new wireless key.

if you are refering to the username and password to get in to www.routerlogin.com or www.routerlogin.net or http:192.168.1.1 it is admin and password is password by default.. However, if it doesn't take the password, this means password has been changed by whoever the last person logged into it. username by the way cannot be changed, it will always be admin.

as for you iphone, when you go to wireless settings, you are supposed to automatically see the SSID of your router, if it iswirelessly secured then you need to enter your wireless security key, types are WEP or WPA, if you are not sure of what it is or you do not have any idea what it is, then you really need to be able to login to your router page. If you do not know what the password is to login to the router page, only option is RESET the router... BUT i strongly suggest to contact Netgear to walk you through, because router will be set to its defaults and you would have to reconfigure everything on it. :)

To login to router setup page you need to connect the router with a ethernet cable to one of your computer or laptop then open a page of internet explorer and type in browser address bar http://192.168.2.1 and it will ask for username and password the username is by default "admin" and password is blank do not type anything in password and press ok you will go to the page of the router

1. Then go to wireless settings and you can check what is the wireless security password, you can use the same to connect your wireless computer to your router to access internet wirelessly
2. If you are not able to login to router setup page then you might need to reset the router from the reset button

If you have forgotten your LinkSys router password, the easiest thing to do is to reset your router to the factory default settings.

To restore the router configuration to factory defaults, hold the reset button on the unit for 30 seconds.

Once your router is hard reset, you will need to login and reconfigure it again.

To reconfigure your LinkSys, connect a PC to one of it's Ethernet ports, load a web browser, and go to the URL http://192.168.1.1/. This will take you to a popup box which asks you to enter a username and password to login to your router.

LinkSys Default Password

On older LinkSys routers, the default username is blank and the default password is "admin." On newer Linksys routers, both the default username and the default password are set to "admin."

Once you are past the login screen, you are able to reconfigure the LinkSys router.

Make sure you are using proper case as Password and password are different.

If still same, try to reset the router which will let it accept the username and password you are using. To reset press and hold the reset button (its a very small button) at the back of the router for 20 seconds.

Disable firewall on your computer. It seems that it's blocking you from getting in the setup page. you may also try using another computer to login just to isolate your problem

Default password is admin .

If you have changed the default password you need to type the password which you changed .
