You also need to pay attention to the disc damage issue. To some degree, the issue of computer DVD player not working is simply related to the disc only, check whether your disc is damaged, for example. Discs are prone to damages such as scratches, dirt, and so on. Before inserting your discs to the computer, make sure that the disc is not damaged. The last thing we want to see is the disc has been damaged. However, if that least-expected scenario happens, you may try some simple methods to recover the disc.

You can check for solutions in the source article.

SOURCE: Daewoo DVRS05 Recorded DVD won't play in OTHER DVD players

my suggestion from reading other forums is that these players sometimes have problems finalizing the disc.. you could try making a copy of the disc in a computer to see if this fixes the promlem or maybe media these use dvd+r and has a lot of compatibility issues with dvd players.

SOURCE: recorded dvds wont play in other dvd players

You have to finalize the disc. if the disc goes to the end it will finalize the disc automatically. If there is some part of the disc not used you have to do it yourself. IN DVD MODE PRESS SETUP, THEN DISC EDIT, THEN FINALIZE. FINALLY PRESS YES. That should do it.

Dvd player wont play

Make sure that the DVD Disc is of the format that your DVD recorder can read. For example, if your recorder specifically requires a DVD -R type disk, it will puke on a DVD +R disk.

Lg 766 wont play a pre recorded dvd every thing else is fine

Not all DVD players will play a pre-recorded DVD that was made on a computer. These types are designed to play only what is called pressed DVD's.

When a CD or a DVD is recorded on a computer it is not really the same as when the media has been press recorded.

Most all of the new model DVD and CD players will play computer recorded media. When buying a player, it is important to make sure that the specs are what you need.

I have recorded all my vhs tapes to dvds and they have played before and now they wont play. i have checked 4 dvds and they wont read in my tv, or 2 of my computers. what could of happened?

It can be several things. What type of DVD's do you have and how old are your players. Most older DVD players won't play the DVD+R format. When you said they played before was that in the recorder you used to make them? If so then most likely you failed to fina'ize them in the DVD recorder you used to make them. If you don't do that, they will ONLY play in the DVD recorder you used to copy them. If you did finalize them, it may be that, as said before, cheap discs dont work in any machines and DVD+R wont work in older players.

Wont play on computer or dvd player

Disc must be finalized before it can be played back on DVD player or DVD recorder.
