My phone is not reading the micro SD card. I tried the card in the computer and it's working perfectly. Could the phone be defective or is there a fix for this?

My micro SD memory card 1gb can not read in my cellphone what should i do?

Hello.

It might be broken. TO check, insert it into another phone that requires micro sd card. OR insert it into a micro sd adapter, then put it in a SD card reader, then connect it to your computer and see if it can be read. If your computer can read it, format it then try it on your phone again (All files will be deleted when you format it). If all devices can't read it, then that is the end of it.

I have a new LG NV3 I am using a micro SD card for

I/O error is an input output error - it means the card reader cannot read the SD card. Possibly the card reader is defective or the adapter is defective. Is the adapter or the card "locked" there should be a little slide ont he side - be sure it is all the way in the open position. There is a software called Oxycube which will read most phones using a data cable or bluetooth if your pc has an adapter - it will save pix from either the fone or a storage card.

LG KC550 PC Suite Problem

I speant Hours swearing at my phone because it would not read my music files, Tried the card on many different phones which would take Micro SD and all other phones read the music Just not the LG KC550.

I found that getting a Micro SD dongle reader, Insterting your 2GB Micro sd card in that and then putting your music files into the "sounds" folder works.

Instructions.

1. Insert Micro SD card into Card reader.
2. Insert card Reader to Computer Via USB.
3. Go to my computer and Open the USB Card reader.
4. Select the Music files from your pc Via Copy files
5. Go to open Tab (Where you can see your Micro Sd card) Open the sounds folder and Paste.

If you are finding it hard to get the 5 folders of images, Documents, Sounds, others and Videos on your Micro SD card. Format the card by going My computer, Right click the Card reader (with you Micro sd card inserted) and click format. Takes a few seconds. Insert the card into the phone, the phone will auto put the folders on the card. Then go to step 1 (above) and start again.

Hope this Helps guys.

kk to add music make sure you syn the phone and the cp do the data and all then put .mp3 on all the media files and see if it works. Then if that doesnt go to computor format the card and then put it in the phone. Otherwise you need new stuff.

Problem with reading Sandisk 4gig hc micro sd card in my computer and laptop

Does the micro sd card been detected by your computer? If not, you may try other card reader, or other computer. If still does not detected, you may try to go to device manager and see whether the sd card is there, if yes, then you can assign a drive letter to the sd card.

Once SD card shows as a drive letter on PC, you can download sd card recovery software to get back your files. recommended asoftech photo recovery that helped me before. download it from link below
SD Card Recovery Software

You can refer to this card recovery tutorial
Recover files from SD Card

If above does not work, you may have to format the memory card (use quick format), and then use Asoftech Data Recovery to scan again the memory card and recover your files.

Computer is not reading my Micro SD, but phone is reading..

What size is the SD card in GBs? If it is larger than 2GB (4 or 8) do you have a SDHC card reader?
Also try formating the card first in the phone and then using it. Using it straight out of the package, while able to be written, my have difficultly with other devices reading the data.

Problems with formating samsung e250 micro sd card

Did you try to format the card in the device thru Windows Media Player, or Rhapsody? If so, try formatting it thru My Computer instead. My Computer>Device Name>Right Click and select format. It is most likely NOT a virus if you have only put music on the device. It is most likely a corrupt file, or a database error. Best of Luck.
