I have a TI-30XA. I replaced the battery with a Duracell 76 and the calculator still won't turn on. What can I do to fix this problem?

Wrong battery, I am researching
1 Lithium Metal batteries required. (included)
https://www.amazon.ca/Texas-Instruments-TI-30Xa-Scientific-Calculator/dp/B00000JBNS

Duracel 76a is a standard alkaline battery according to this

https://www.amazon.ca/Duracell-Specialty-Alkaline-Battery-long-lasting/dp/B007IAWVUM

But No, LR44 is the same as 76a. Did you change both?? You said 'I replaced THE battery', there is clearly two batteries.

Time for a new one probably.

Is there an EE button for scientific notation of TI-30XS

On a TI-30XA the EE key is just above the 7 key.

On a TI-30XIIS the EE is the shifted function of the key just above the 7 key.

How to convert a normal ANSWER to scientific

It's been a while since my TI calculator died, but I think you can just hit EE (may be "exp" on your model) followed by =.

Inputing scientific notation into my calculator

Hello,

1. To convert a number to scientific equation, use [2nd][Sci]
Exemples 12345 [=] screen shows 12345 Then [2nd][Sci] coverts it to 1.2345 ^04 to the power 4.
2. To enter directly a number in scientific notation (e.g. -1.2345 X10^(-65) a very small number) you use the [EE] key 1.2345[+ /-][EE][+/-]65 shows as -1.2345 -65
1.6X10^(-19) 1.6[EE][+/-]19 shows as 1.6 -19

Hope it helps

Scientific notation

You have to use the EE button right next to the parenthesis and the sigma plus button. So 1.7 EE and then your exponenet. If it is a negative exponent you need to hit the negative button before you type in the number.
