You Power Cord must be bad. If you cannot get on the laptop by using just the power cord, then the power cord is bad and needs to be replaced. Also it sounds like you've been operating off your battery since the power cord is bad, but now the battery is dead because the bad power cord was not charging it.

Get a new AC Adapter and Power Cord. Or it could be that the pin where you plug the power cord into the table is damaged or broken.

Not all cameras charge from the USB cord. Also there are some USB cords for data, some for charging.

The A3100 comes with a separate battery charger. The camera does not charge with a USB cord.

Ideally it is best to get a new cable, you can approach the nearest mobile stores which are familiar everywhere to get the cord. Also it can be ordered by mail by logging on to the support site of Samsung and requesting for the cord.

I had the same problem with a new Samsung TL220. I would plug cord into computer and camera. It would not recognize camera but would charge camera. After 25 minutes with tech support, they said it was the cord and the sent me a new one. Problem solved

I had the exact same problem right down to lending the camera to my daughter.WHAT DO THEY DO WITH THAT PART?It about took me 6 monthes to replace that part, do to availability.It only costs about ten dollars.If you cant find the part.you can also get a battery charger for just the battery,you take out the battery and put it in the charger(i have one of those too) they cost about thirtyfive dollars.Good luck,dean

You can find a replacement cord on eBay very cheap. Another thing to try is to buy an external charger. Just remove the battery and place it on the charger, very helpful also is to buy another battery from the same seller. You will never run out of power with a spare battery charged.

Sounds like battery life is gone. If there rechargeable batteries they might not be holding a charge anymore.

If your camera has a power cord that plug into your camera to charge the battery does it do the same thing?

When you say 'Get the pictures' Have you actually or can you - down load them to the computer. If you can then go to menue and delete all the pictures. If the memory is full you have yo get those images off.
