I have a Healthrider R65 and everything works accept the belt will not spin...so all i can do is go up and down....been trying to find a serial number on it so i can call healthrider...but its no where to be found....
The serial number decal should be in front bottom left hand side on the frame opposite the power cord. I would not worry too much about the serial number that is used for tracking their units. It sounds like the motor control board may have failed, but they may have you do a calibration to see if the board has actually failed.

You will hard pressed to believe this but the walk belt is most likely bad creating too much friction. If the walk board is grooved under the belt it must be replaced. If the walk board is smooth and glossy leave it alone. I have seen this issue with a slightly used newer treadmill.
1) Lube the deck belt, this produce enough friction between deck vs deck belt, and shut down for to protect the electronic system 2) lube the rollers bearing very well. 3) Test the drive belt and replace 4) Test the motor input voltage, if there are the motor need repair. 5) test the output voltage board, for input voltage motor, if there are not the board is faulty. God bless you
hi, its seems like the belt on the motor has either slipped or just needs to be tightened more, best way to find out is open the front cover showing the motor, step on the treadmill and see what happens. if the motor is still spinning and the belt isnt then its the belt, check the tension if it is loose just tighten the belt. if the belt and motor are fine then its the running belt that needs to be tightened, to check this just put your hand under the belt and try lifting it, if you can easily lift its 2 0r 3 inches then its ok, but if you can lift it alot more this will need to be tightened, hope i have helped.
Check to see if the motor is spinning. If not spinning, then use a voltmeter to find out the voltage of power going to the motor that spins the belt. See if you can rotate it by hand.
Remove the bottom cover and replace the broken drive belt. Check that the brush will rotate freely--likely everything is jammed with hair and dust. The brush assembly should just lift out of the case and the end bearings will pull off. The brush needs to be removed to install a new belt anyway. There should be a diagram that shows how to install the belt (it has a half-turn twist).
