Hello, there are at least a couple of areas that could be causing this situation, but the most common is located in the deflection board, this board is located to the left of the service area as you remove the back cover. The most common failures are bugled or inflated electrolytic capacitors and loose solder joints. Another problem area is the power supply which is located to the rear of the chassis or main circuits assembly, look for inflated electrolytic capacitors.

There are three power sources for the radio. So three fuses.
Two for battery power for memory and one from the key switch.
Check your owners manual for details.

Help me, dish network hd monitor,model 34-310. made in 2004. wont turn on,on button blinks and attempts to,turn on but screen remains blank. tries three times and blinks a green light. no picture,no sound....

It is the right age for failure---IF you are able look inside at the power supply for bad caps---I will attach photos of what to look for.

The three tries is what is called a three strikes and you are out (no joke)----the unit has built into it (many do) a feature where it will try 3 times to make it up and on and if fails shuts down or stops trying.

actually it has a 3 strikes and out feature--will try three times and if does not make it on shutdown.

most issues with these are bad solder connections around the High Voltage transformer.

get a code reader the timing is fixed you cant move it try cranksesore ground wire not the battery one the on the block firewall fender fulepump fuse..

just an educated guess but id say you have one of two possible problems , gas valve bad or flame proof device is bad

the second cause is very common !! so common in fact theres a spare hanging on the side of mine !!!
