The first solution is essentially correct, but let me add a little explanation/ The pictured item is an converter. This will take the audio and video signals and convert them to either channel 3 or 4. While it is possible to use a VCR for this, it may not work correctly. DVDs have built in copyguards in the video signal that can interfere with the conversion inside of VCRs. This may alter the video quality. This is done to prevent the copying of DVDs. Since your set only has an RF input, this is your only alternative.

DVD works fine but. Tv say no signal

Troubleshooting Tips 1. If your HDTV or TV has multiple inputs, make sure you choose the right input your DVD player is connected to, such as Video, HDMI 1, HDMI 2, HDMI 3, Component, etc. Change the INPUT or source the HDTV is set to by pressing the INPUT button on the TV or its original remote. When you try different inputs, let the DVD player play a disc and output a constant signal.
2. If your TV has the correct INPUT or Source, unplug the cable and plug it back, or try another cable or port. Sometimes cable can short-out. Be sure they are connected securely.
3. Test if your DVD player works on other TVs. It could be your DVD player breakdown that leads to No Signal on your HDTV.
4. Try connecting your DVD player to another HDTV if your DVD player works correctly.
5. Check if your DVD player is compatible with your HDTV.
6. If the TV does nt work try to upgrade your DVD.

INSTALL DVD PLAYER TO MY TV AND ITURN ON THE DVD TO PLAY AND DID NOT COME ON

Try double checking your connection on both ends (from the dvd player and to your tv). Be sure the colors of the cable (e.g. red, white, yellow) are inserted in the correct place (according to color) on both the dvd player and the tv. Also check to make sure when you turn your dvd player on and the tv on that your tv is on the correct input. The tv usually shows which input is being used where the cables are connected (e.g. audio/video 1, hdmi 1, etc). If the tv does not specify the different inputs where the cables are inserted, use the tv remote to go through the different inputs by pressing the input button until you have either selected the correct one or gone through all of the available inputs. Be sure to allow enough time (10-15 seconds) for each input to register any kind of signal, and also be sure that the dvd player is on before searching through the inputs.

Hello, here is a sample for auxilary connection for the chdvd300: . Use the AV (Audio/Video) cable
provided to connect the DVD player to
your TV as shown in the diagram.
. Your TV must be equipped with AV
inputs like those pictured to the right in
order to connect this unit.
. If your TV does not have AV inputs, you

When connecting hdmi out from my panasonic blue-ray player to the dvd input in my yamaha rx-v365 there is not audio or video, why?

There are several video and audio inputs named DVD. For video you have HDMI, component and composite. For audio you have standard analog stereo and digital coaxial spdif input.
You need to configure the receiver to use the correct inputs - that means HDMI and coax. Also you need to connect the BD player via coax spdif cable to the receiver, because rx-v365 doesn't support audio via HDMI. If BD player has only optical output, use DTV/CABL HDMI input and DTv/CABL Optical input on the receiver.

Now have verizon Fios and cannot get DVD player to play

Check the connection cable. If the Verizon box and the DVD player are connecting to the same TV input, ensure that the Verizon fios box is connecting to DVD input, and DVD output is connecting to TV.

If you connect DVD out to Verizon box input, and then TV , you will have to turn off the receiver box to see DVD.

If you use only one TV Input connect Verizon output to DVD input and DVD out to TV.

If instead you use separate inputs on TV, then try using the source/select input button on TV remote, and try different cables.

Regards.

Sony CD/DVD Player DVP-NS501P

There are several ways to connect the TV to the DVD player but you can only take advantage of the progressive scan option on your player if you use component cable. Component cable has three input jacks on it and they are colored Green, Blue, and Red. Your TV/amplifer must have component input jacks on the back of it to use this cable. If it does, then the input jacks on the back of the TV are usually labled Y, Pa, and Pr. The Y input is for the Green input jack, the Pa input is for the Blue input jack and the Pr is for the Red input jack. Once you have these plugged in you will next need to hookup the audio/vidoe cable that came with your DVD player that has a Yellow, White, and Red input jacks on it. The Yellow input jack is for Video and the White and Red are for audio. Both your TV and DVD player will have inputs for these so just match them up. If you do not have component inputs on your TV then just hook up the audio/video cable and it will work.
