That means that all the voice mail ports are busy. Are there any users logged into thier boxes tying it up?

  • Anonymous May 26, 2010

No, not that I know of. How would I check that, by phone? There are only three of us here in the office.

  • Anonymous May 26, 2010

A few days actually - It first happened on my phone but then I somehow made the voicemail itself disappear from the phone screen. And then it happened today on another phone. Seems to be happening on the whole office phone system as a whole and not just on my phone now.

  • Anonymous May 26, 2010

Unplug the power cord - would that be the black cord plugged into the Nortel box, that has a triangle with an exclamation point and red light next to it?

Will doing that reset my entire system?

They would be logged into the voicemail either using the open voicemail key or feature 981. It's a good guess that they aren't.
How long has the voicemail been tied up?

At least it's saying flash busy rather then inactive feature. You might try un-pluging and re-pluging the power cord to the voicemail to clear the ports.

The box should be about 9'x12' and should say flash on the front cover. dropping the power to the voice mail will not re initialize the voice mail. All greetings and recordings should remain. The voice mail can take a few minutes before it comes back online but no longer then 10 minutes.
