That is very strange, the parts suppliers list it, but Dirt Devil have no reference. I would contact Dirt Devil and ask why? There is a model M82700 but it is a cylinder vac. The contact details are there on page one.
this is a problem that all cordless power tools that have an internal battery in them face eventually , the battery goes bad and without tearing it apart you cant replace them
make sure its the battery went bad , verify that charger is working and charge lite is on
The hose is probably blocked. If possible reverse it (put the intake of the hose on the canister connection) that should suck out the obstruction. If that fails try to carefully push a broom handle into the hose, preferably from the end that connects to the canister. Put the hose back on normally and see what happens.
Check the contacts between the handvac part and the stick broom part sometimes they get bent. If those are fine then you have some kind of short in the switch or the wiring.
Four screws hold the bottom plate in place. Turn the vac upside down and remove the screws that hold the cover(bottom plate) over the brush roll in place. Remove the plate and you are there.
http://geeksquad.fixya.com/ThreadView.aspx?prdid=0&thid=730257 Generic problem for all Vacuums I have a Dirt Devil Posted by maryk813 on Jul 02, 2008 I have a Dirt Devil Broom Vac that won't hold a charge. I need to replace the rechargeable battery. Is there a dealer near Bartlett, TN that can do that or would I be able to do it myself if I bought a new battery? Hello, I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. The only place that I know if to contact the Royal factory cust serv line listed below or to check the website and they may direct you to a local dealer in your area. All you would need is a new rechargeable battery and you can do it yourself. The problem that I see is that the new rechargeable battery may cost as much as a new vacuum if you consider the part plus shipping and handling. So, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions. http://royalvacuums.com/Customer Service 1-800-321-1134 Hours are: 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM(EST) Thanks, Don the Vac Man Go Ahead.
