You can only go to the top of the overflow pipe. Is it up that far? The filler is adj, just lift up on it, and the water level will come up. Usually how they work. Check it out.

Garbage disposal and possible clogged drain

plug the one side of the sink so as to create a sealed enviroment for the plunger to work weffectively ... plung the open side ..
If this does not work , try running a metal coat hanger thru the outlet at the disposal exhaust line.

OLD TOLIET

this might sound wierd, take a brick or two and put it in the cistern (the water tank) then the brick will displace the water and you'll use less water

Bought a american standard toilet tank to replace our leaky tank. after installation and turned on the water, but the tank is filling very slowly. what could be wrong?

Actually sounds like trash in the toliet water valve.....or possible that if teflon tape was used to seal threads has been drapped accross inlet threads and caused blockage......Best way to check this is to take supply line loose from toliet and slowly turn water on while pointing the supply into a bucket or something to catch the water and see if the pressure is ok......Then check valve to see if grit or blockage is in the toliet valve.........Depends on valve design to whether or not you will be able to clean....may have to replace toliet valve with new one......hope this helps

Vax carpet washer deluxe leaks from bottom of water tank, somewhere between coming out of the tank and going into the jet to squirt on the floor. pissing me off - any help would be great!

This is a common problem known by repairers. What happens is residue gets stuck in the seals. The next time you use the machine and press the trigger the seals stay open and water leaks continually. It was suggested that maybe after you finish using the machine you do a whole tank of plain water to rinse it out but I haven't had any luck with that. I am stuck with a machine that doesn't work.

Toto toilet has weak flush

Check water level in tank and also under rim off toliet bowl where water come's out. Make sure level in tank is right and it has ports all around rim. they can be clogged up also.

You can use a roofing nail to stick in ports it is several around under rim that you can't see but are there where water comes out. Because if the ports some are stopped up it will restrict proper amount of water to certain areas.

Tank will not refill after you flush

okay depending on the type of toilet ball **** (i know its a funny word, but it's really what its called.) you have one the most standard type is the long wire with the big ball on the end. you need to adjust this ball **** so it goes lower test it out, flush your toilett and wait till the water drains then when its supposed to come back up push down on the ball **** and youll see the water will start to fill, so then adjust the little screw on the fill valve (the other side of the floater where its attached)

you may need to shut off your water supply and drain your tank depending on how skilled you are,

pretty simple work, if you have questions feel free to ask.
