Hi!
You can restore t0 its original size by configuring your display setting.

If the problem is in the web page.. then what you need to do is to zoom in or zoom out your page view.. how?

To enlarge the looks of your page ---- Press and hold CTRL key...press the plus sign ( + ) key as many times to get the desired size.

To shrink the page --- Press and hold CTRL key...press minus sign ( - ) key as many times to get the right fir of your page on the desktop.

Hope that solve your problem..

Please rate this solution....thanks..

i have the exact same problem. kind of freaky. the ctrl+ or ctrl- does not work all the time. i have read some of the solutions but mine has windows 8.1 which i am not a fan. its not user friendly. i think the shrinking and enlarging has something to do with the little pad that controls the cursor. i dont know what its called sorry,i just know the acer aspire this pad sits more to the left than my old laptop did.

I accidently installed windows 8 pro on my Acer aspire E 15 which already had windows 8.1. Now how do I restore my laptop back to its original windows 8.1?

Once you install other version of windows Operating system without formatting, your Operating System and files before would goes to drive C:\windows.old folder and you can backup your files there by opening users folder, but you cant restore your system to your old 8.1 version once you overwritten it ,But you can fix this by reformatting your laptop/netbook or desktop using your original 8.1 OS installer or contact your acer aspire distributor for genuine installer, but don't forget to backup your files at folder i mentioned above.

I have an acer aspire AST180 UA381B and I need the system restore disks but they do not carry them anymore. What can I do?

I would suggest you install Linux Mint 10, a free operating system.

Without the restore disks, you would have to buy a new Windows CD. Have a friend burn an ISO image of Linux Mint. Just go to www.linuxmint.com, and there are lots of helpful tips there on how to install. Linux Mint has a similar feel to Windows, so it should be good!

I used my acer aspire 5315 and restored to factory default using empowering technology and now everytime i start up it keep trying to reinstall the restore programe that came with the computer

There are two basic ways to restore Acer 5315 PC Notebook to the original setting. The first method you can try to pressing the key Alt + F10 for 5 times while startup process appears on the Acer screen. Usually this way will restore the original setting automatically.
And the next method you may need to use system restore at the first time you’ve got your Acer 5315 laptop. Here are steps to follow:
Log on as the Administrator => Start => All Programs => Accessories => System Tools => and click the System Restore. System restore will run and here you should see the Welcome System Restore page appear. Click Restore my computer button to an early time if it’s not already
selected. Click next to continue the steps.
There is on your Acer 5315 laptop screen a Restore Point page appear, you can select it and then click the most recent system checkpoint it, click a restore point list. After you click the Next button, System Restore message may appear that lists configuration changes that
System Restore will create. Click OK.
For the last step click next button on the Confirm Restore Point Selection page. Now the ‘System Restore’ will restore the previous Windows XP configuration on your Acer 5315 OS system. Just finish it by restarts your Acer laptop.
Now log on again to your Acer 5315 PC Notebook as Administrator and watch the System Restore Restoration Complete page

Acer aspire browser viewable area shrinks down to nothing

Hello,
I do not know why the viewing area decreases in size: I suspect that you may have too many toolbars. Remove the ones you do not need. In IE you right click on a tool bar and deselect ( If there is a check mark near a tool bar, click and the check mark will disappear)

Also you can use the full screen by Pressing F11 in you browser. You exit the full screen by pressing F11 again.
I believe this last option is your best bet short of customizing more fully your browser.

Hope it helps.

Hope it
