Sony videoscope xbr

would think you need to replace the cable board etc. the signal is not getting in and out right. can also be a fault on the power board giving the wrong volts so would check this to. it will tell you on the board what volts is supposed to be. the 5v and 12v should be spot on other volts will vary a little. also check the capacitors for the caps to be bowed up and a brown/ yellow gunk around them and under the board this can be a sign they are failing.

My sony videoscope XBR tv has a pink picture and no control. Also nothing is in enlish.

the model listed is a very old set---parts may not be available----language can be selected in the menu but the pink may be a adjustment of the screens (controls) or a circuit problem.

Sony videoscope xbr TV screen keeps blinking in and out...sound is fine. Blinking 5 times then cut off ...any solutions ...it is really annoying! !!

Hello,

Your power supply board is dead, u know basic electronics' and soldering? Most of the times, the power supply board just have dead leakages gases capacitors. These capacitors always bulges up on it top,or puff up on it top.Replaced these gases leakages capacitors will get your TV power stable, and work again.Or tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.
Take care in solving the problem

HI I have a 1998 Sony Videoscope XBR 53 in. Projection TV. When you turn it on the sound is fine but sometimes the picture comes right on and sometimes it can take hours. Can anyone give me some advice....

hello well it's and old tv, my guess it could be capacitors in the power supply or even dry joints on the power supply board, it would be best to have someone with electronic experience to have a look at it

Sony videoscope XBR - Side by Side screens can't change it back.

Sounds like your TV has a PIP (picture in picture) that allows your AVI (audio visual input) to be viewed simultaneously with your cable input. Check the manual for the correct buttons, but the one you're looking for says either PIP or AVI or something along those lines. Hope this helps

TV has sound no picture, Sony Videoscope xbr

Please post both the exact model number (on the back) and the blink count. The standby light should be blinking a repeated pattern. That info will indicate the problem circuit and allow us to provide you with the proper parts/steps to resolve this.

Thanks,
Dan

Sony Videoscope XBR 53

This is a convergence problem. Look in the back for a couple of large black ICs attached to a heatsnik. These should be marked STKxxx. These are the convergence ICs and either have bad connections or are defective. If you can solder, try resoldering the pins on these ICs. If that fails to resolve the problem, replace the ICs. There may be other parts that need to be replaced as well. I'll look up your model to find the other parts to check. The convergence board as an assembly, I believe, is no longer available. The parts that you require are available.
