My rca rp5120-a recorder says full and i havent recorded anything . all my files are empty. it worked before now i cnnot record.

If you bought the recorder new still in it's package, the software is located on the recorder itself.

Plug the recorder into your computer and let the computer recognize it. Once it's loaded open a copy of explorer if one did not open already. Look for a folder named SETUP in the recorder. Inside that folder is the software. Run it from the folder.

This should correct your problem.

Plug in your recorder using the USB cable. Copy any of the files you see to your PC. Then reformat the drive. I don't have the exact details for doing this under windows but I fixed the problem this way.
