If your windows 7 system is set up as 32 bit instead of 64, that's why it doesn't work. according to the logitech website that camera will only work with windows 7 in 64 bit mode...otherwise it won't.
If you did a fresh install of Windows 7, make sure you install Windows 7 SP1.

When downloading a printer driver from HP you will need to ensure that you are selecting the correct OS (eg. Windows 7) and the appropriate version (eg. 64 or 32 bit operating system). These drivers are different and using one on the other will not work.
Windows XP drivers also will not work properly in a Windows 7 environment and the majority of Windows XP drivers are 32-Bit.
Download the FREE Windows 7 XP Mode, install it, then reinstall your software in XP Mode following the XP Mode Application Instructions. Another alternative is to use the FREE XP mode virtual machine under Windows 7. You can then load software that is compatible with XP But not Windows 7 in the XP virtual machine.
Works in my Gateway Netbook running a Win 7 Starter OS, Won't even install on my Dell N5010 running a Win 7 Home premium OS. BUT IT does work in Safe mode on the Dell laptop. Tried compatibility mode. Have no Idea why it won't install.
