Okay, you can't update Flash on the PS3. Sony must bundle it with their
firmware updates. At this time, they only have Flash 9 running on the
PS3. It seems like adobe has been pushing hard to get Flash 10 out to
many new platforms...so perhaps it might be released in the near future.

I'll tell you why. As I have stated several times, the PS3 is weak as a computer, at best. It is not designed to be updated like regular PC's. FaceBook runs flash objects, and when new flash players are required to view these objects, the PS3 can't keep up! Simply because Sony will not let you update the Flash player on the PS3. Sometimes it works, most of the time, it don't. I recommend never using a PS3 for any website you might visit, including Face Book.

Start your PlayStation 3's web browser. You can do this by
navigating to the "Network" category on your PS3's main menu and
selecting the "Internet" option.

Point your web browser to a website that uses Flash. YouTube, at www.youtube.com, is a good example.

Let the page load. Depending on your Internet connectio, this could take a few seconds.

Click "OK" when the box reading "Install Missing Plugin"
appears on screen. As Flash comes pre-installed on the PS3, this will
update you to the latest version of Flash. You will know the update is
complete when YouTube videos then begin to load.
Facebook games require the latest version of Flash Player, unfortunately PS3 has limited Flash Player capabilities, so you can't actually play games on Facebook and/or other Flash-based games
Try this and if it doesn't work let me know and we will go a different route.

Youtube changed its file system from videos being in .flv format to .mp4, you'll have to wait for Sony to make the next move on restoring the PS3's ability to watch online video.
Consoles that support internet such as the Wii and PS3 do not support flash player becuase the PS3 browser is not supported by Flash player. You can download Yellow Dog Linux for Ps3 so that it will be able to run flash player, but no such thing exists for the Wii.......yet.
