The ceiling fan has 4 spot lights.
My 3-way switch has 3 wires - Red, Black, Blue.
Inside the light housing - There are 4 thinner black wires that go to the 4 spot lights. The thicker black and white wires come down from the fan.
There is a capacitator with a Black and Blue wire. It also has a White wire connected to the fan.
The 3-way switch instructions state -
1) Connect Black-Red (switch) - which Black?
2) Connect Black-Blue (capacitator) - which Black?
3) Connect Black-Blue (capacitator)-Red switch - which Black?
What is the connection to the 4 thinner Black wires that feed the 4 spot lights?
OK .. the thick black and white are the power for the fan , are there also white wires on the lamp sockets ..??
The thick black wire should connect to the black wire on the switch.
The small black wires connect to the red and blue wire on the switch .. two small black wires each .. that should give you a position for 2 lights , and 4 lights, on the step switch .. but there should be white wires from the lamp sockets connected to the thick white from the fan .

The pull chain switch is just for the lights. No remote control, just pull the chain to light the lights in sequence or off.
