I turned on my trinitron today, and found that it was stuck on channel 4, with the 'no signal' message at the bottom. I couldn't control any of the buttons on the top of the tv or change the channel with the remote. I used the method above, and it worked like a charm! Many thanks! <3I turned on my trinitron today, and found that it was stuck on channel 4, with the 'no signal' message at the bottom. Hi. Convertor boxes have a preset channel output. This is either in the VHF region (channel 4) or somewhere in the UHF region (like most video's on channel 36 or 38). Switch on the convertor, and try a scan on your TV. You must be able to locate the output channel from the convertor. At least if this one is ok, or receiving.
Hello, hopefully you can help me. I just brought a used sony wega kv-27fs13 27 flat-screen tv. But when I put the cable wire in the TV it says No Signal. Do you know what the problem could be?
Just for the heck of it, check to see if the SAP setting is correct in the Audio selection menu. It should be set to Stereo.
I hope this helps,
Skyassoc
i think i get the jist - you've moved, and now you're missing a couple channels. from what you're saying, i assume you are using a digital converter box, or have a digital ready tv. i personally have seen many problems since the digital change, specifically loss of channels. even though digital tv is supposed to be 'all that', and it is fine when it works, the quality and placement of your antenna is still critical. you are still receiving a signal on the same channel, only with digital, they have reduced the bandwidth. this action was not done with the consumer in mind, it was done to free up air space for other communicatiomns. try an amplified antenna [available at radio shack for about 20 dollars], and try different positions. if this doesn't work, you might try an outdoor antenna. with digital signals, if there is an obstruction between you and the transmission site, rather than getting a weak, snowy picture, or shadows, as you would back in the days of analog, your receiver will simply not receive the station
My friend, you need to hook up a signal source such as an antenna or cable . The channels wont come in and it will all depend on where you live and how close to a major city on what and how good you will get the stattions. then once an antennena is connected, do the auto programming again. Good Luck
