My craftsman 1/2 hp garage dood does not close when it's cold out (with either a push on the remote or a single push from the wall). I have to hold the wall button in until it's completely down. When I do push either the wall button or the remote button the light flashes a bunch of times and won't shut. The lights on the sensors are a solid green

Make sure the brackets for the sensors are tight and the small light on the sensors is not blinking ever so slightly. You also might try shading the sensor so that the sun is not shining directly into the lens.

Release the door from the opener and operate it by hand. Make sure it is not binding at that point. It could just need a simple increase of the down force but it is unusual at that point of closing. Clean the track of any grease if there is a build up. The track should never be greased.

If you didn't install the door sensors you must. If you did, make sure they are pointed at one another and the small light on each one is lit and not flickering. Tweak them a little.

My crftsman 1/2 Hp garage door is not working. When I press is the keypad or the main console I hear a clicking sound. What do I need to do to fix this?

It sounds like your logic board may be bad. I would pull it out and check for burnt, missing or loose connections on the printed circuit.

If the main light flashes 10 times when you try to close the door it is a sensor problem. Make sure they are not flickering ever so slightly and that they are not loose on their brackets. Tweak them a little bit.

Access Master 1/3 HP garage door does not close, blinks

Most likely your door sensors are out of alignment. Make sure they are pointed directly at one another.

On the rear of the motor unit you will find the up and down force adjustments. Increase these just about 1/4 turn and try. Make sure the tracks have not been lubricated at some time with grease. With the cold weather the grease becomes thick. The tracks should never be greased.

I just installed a sears craftsman 1/2 hp garage door opener. when i close the garage door with the remote the chain track bends up just about 12 inches before it closes all the way, and this only happens...

What is wrong is you need to adjust the limit on the door when it comes up. What it is doing is coming to far back on the track. You need to push the back limit forward away from the motor so the door does not come back and drop down on the inside of the garage. The opener is trying to push the door up hill to get it to close that is why you are getting the bend in the track.

Good Luck

Have to hold the push button inside my garage to close garage.

You have a door sensor problem. Make sure the sensors are pointed at one another and the small light on each one is lit and not blinking. Also check the wiring.

I have a craftsman garage door opener (1/2 hp) won't close proper

Check your door sensors. They have probably been bumped. Tweak them until they are pointed at one another and the small light on each one is lit and not blinking.
