Uniden has taken the stance that they dont support their radios service by non Uniden personnel. The information is not available. If the unit is SMT and has MOSFET finals, you can destroy the finals if you dont know what you are doing,
why do you want to clip and tune a radio? Clipping the diode will make the radio modulate higher and unrestricted but if you take that radio and turn the power down to 2 watts give variable 4 a full turn to the right and open the modulation pot it will sound a whole lot better then if you clipped it. when you clip a radio you create a splash box that wipes out all channels lose by and the others will also be effected. the diode you want to clip is D-11. but I advise you not to.
clip D-9 diode for max mod. tune slugs L-8 and L-10 for max swing near back of radioL-8 has factory wax remove very careful tune slug out for max wattage output L8 L10 by rear of radio in heat sink look like tuning slugs 1 has factory wax on it remove to tune be very careful tuning slug is easy to break
