Kelvinator F36 oven door glass measurements

My mother (Staying in another town) have a Kelvinator F36 oven of which the door's inside glass has broken. I need the measurements of the inside glass of the oven door so that I can have it cut to size as the part apparently is no longer available as a spare part.

How can I clean the inside of the glass on a Lamont 3400 oven door

Hello, Johnny -

The instructions I found for cleaning the glass inside an oven door are generic and not just for a Lamona brand oven. (You did mean "Lamona" and not "Lamont", didn't you?)

See the instructions here:
https://www.mom4real.com/how-to-clean-in-between-glass-on-your/
Read through the instructions, in full, first.

This is a link to other instructions in video format:

Best wishes.

Range/Stove/ Oven Door Glass Replacement

I see many questions come up at Fixya.com about oven door glass that has broken and how to replace the glass. For many ovens it is a relatively simple task. It will take about an hour for most people, depending on the skill level, and the type of door.

To do this job you should have handy a screwdriver, usually a Philips head medium sized, a plastic tarp, especially if your glass in the door is already broken, and of course the new glass. It is also a good idea to measure the new piece of glass to make sure that it is close in size before taking the door apart.

For your safety, make sure that the power is turned off to the oven before starting this job also. The open the oven door and remove the screws on the inside face of the door. If the door can be remove easily you can remove it, but it is not necessary to do that. Make sure that you place the pieces of the door as they come off and the screws in a place to keep them organized for when you put everything back together.

For most ovens you will find the oven glass held in by tabs, similar to a picture frame. Pull the tabs back to release the glass. Carefully remove the old glass from the frame. If it is broken, be very careful not to cut yourself. Also contain the glass on the trap to make cleanup easier. For many newer ovens, you will have three layers of glass. Do the same process for each layer.

When the old glass is removed, then simply replace each layer of glass and press the tabs back in place for each one. Then replace the brackets or inside pieces of the door, and secure with the screws.

This is how easy it is to replace the glass for many of the ovens.

Another word about broken glass in ovens…..
Many of the people that have broken glass state that it broke after running the self-clean feature of their oven. For many of you this warning will be too late…but for those of you that see this before, be warned!

How to clean inside glass oven door

Taking the door off the oven and lay door on a soft surface so as to prevent scratching ,taking the door apart ( Carefully ), allow for a large work space, lay out your screws, the glass you are trying to reach is an inner glass, so obviously self clean is not going to help. Good luck!

The outer oven door glass shattered suddenly how do I change it?

I depends on how old your oven is. If you're lucky you may be able to get a replacement glass. If not take some measurements and see a glass supplier. You will need a piece of tempered glass.

Broken glass door

Depends on the model, check the link below to see if the glass alone is available, if it is not , that means that this is sealend inside the door.

In that case replace the whole door, or the oven wont bake evenly anymore.

See : Enter model number here to find assembly diagrams and parts.
