My blackberry storm will not charge. The battery charge indicator on the phone shows that the phone is plugged in and charging but the battery does not become more charged. It just stays at the same number charge level. I took my phone to Verizon and they told me it was a problem with the battery so I had to purchase a new battery. The new battery has the same problem so clearly it is my phone that has the issue. I also tried to put the new battery in a friend's Blackberry Curve and the new battery charged in the Curve but not in my phone. Can you help??

Once installed, connect your BlackBerry to your computer via the USB sync cable. Open Desktop Manager, and click the Application Loader. On the right, you will see Update your device software. Click the Start Button, and if your BlackBerry is not on the latest Handheld Software, an update will appear. Select the update, and run the install. Be sure to select the option that backs up and restores your data. Once started, do not shut down your computer, or disconnect the USB sync cable as this could damage the device.

Once completed, your BlackBerry will restart and you will have the latest version available. This version has been known to correct various issues, like charging issues.

If the issue is still present, then it could be hardware related, and may need to be repaired or replaced. I would then suggest contacting your Provider for Hardware Support.

solution is to install only USB driver, so that PC recognizes the Blackberry correctly, and can also charge the device accordingly.
