PS3 having trouble reading game discs!!!

it boots and loads game. start to play and within 10 to 20 minutes the screen freezes but still hear sound. any ideas???

Yeah i hav the same problem to. I had a PS3 for xmas. It started off fine. Everything was goin well. It was in janauary or feb, i had kinka had, the same problem. I put game. And started to update to vesrion 2.0, like it does when you first use a new game. Then after the process it said: Problem error ocurred. So i went back to the menu, took the game out and started again. I put the disc in, and just was not loading at tall. I tired all my other games and did excaly the same, even on dvd`s and cds! Evenally i got dvd cleaning disc, to clean the insides of the console in cast dust was on the blu-ray lens, or dvd lens. The disc cleaned it within seconds. I tired my games again, and it still done the same thing! Nothin would work games, DVDs, CDs. So i toke back my ps3 to the retalier i got it from(woolswothers) and a exchanged it for a new one. A couple of hours i wanted to play on call of duty 4, but has done the same thing again, like on my old and first ps3! Cos i had not call of duty 4 since i exchanged it for the new ps3 i got now, i had to install it. After it completed the installment, it then said: Error Occored. So i went back to the menu, and startded it again with disc in the console, and nothing happended! I tried another game it did the same thing! Even with cd! And i hav only had this ps3, this new one for a month! I am gonna give it a rest, and try it torrmorrow, if the same thing like my last ps3, wot can i do? Can anyone give me sum advice wot to do? Oh man, I am having this same problem... was playing a game yesterday, shut down my PS3 and took a break for dinner. When I return, it can not read my game disk. Tried playing other game disks , cds, dvds and still nothing happens! I think this problem is going to appear with other users soon!

My ps3 is having trouble loading my games. It starts to read then it stops. sometimes it will start but within minutes the sound goes, then then game freezes! Can someone please help me.
