Ok the music kit had virtually no instruction and was tricky main thing is you cannot hook up the phone and cable to the computer first or together first thing run the disc or download the software from the link listed in the booklet then plug in your cable no phone and reboot to detect the plug and play device it will run its own drivers just hit yes to everything and let the wizard install it then plug in your phone and it will run its own separate drivers again hit yes let it run and then it will be able to sync when you press sync it will pull all of your music to a file remember this location write it down or you will be lost if you unhook it whille its transferring or want to use it later then drag and click the music from your media player over to the music kit software it will transfer it over for you its alot i know im sorry let meknow if you have trouble i was an alltel customer serivce rep for three years ill do my best by memory to help you out since I was recently laid off from verizon downsizing the alltel call centers

I have a Motorola E815 Alltel cell phone and was wondering if I could somehow make this phone compatible with Verizon since they are my current carrier? How do I switch this Alltel E815 to Verizon?

Hi Dawn Lynn Martens,

You can take the device to Verizon to see if they can activate it with their frequency. Since they handle CDMA devices as the Motorola E815.

Hi, I'm Josef;I have a Motorola Razr cell phone which was originally on a plan with Alltel. I've been told that Verizon bought Alltel, and I'm wondering if sense there is no sim card in the...

If Verizon bought out alltel, the simplest thing to do now is dial 611 for customer care and ask them.
Once a company buys another company, their customer care auto-redirects to the new company. So you can ask them.
I don't have alltel where I'm at (Oregon) so I can't fully answer that.
Thank you

HOW TO UNLOCK LG CELL PHONE WAS WITH ALLTEL NOW WITH VERIZON

Alltel was aquired by Verizon. Call Verizon customerservice. It may not be possible to use the phone with verizon though. Alltel was GSM and Verizon is CDMA.

I have a LG scoop from alltel and i want to put my number on a verizon LG model VX8550A, how do i do that?

if youre trying to program your alltel phone number on a verizon phone yet keep your alltel service its not going to work. the phones are locked to the carriers and cannot be unlocked. depending on where your cellphone number is based out of your serivce will most likely turn into verizon anyway. but as far as i know right now you cannot use the verizon phones.
i could be wrong, i live in an area that is going to become AT&T not verizon.

Unable to upload my own ringtones from my computer

If you have the music on your computer you can send it in a message to the phone and then open the message and apply it as "use as ring tone". Or if you have an old phone that allows you to down load it to the phone directly, then you can send it from that phone in a message to the other phone, open and apply as "ring tone".

Change carrier

You can use it on Alltel but until the Verizon/Alltel merger is complete you would only be able to send and receive text messages and make and receive phone calls. You would NOT be able to access any program that requires the internet and you would not be able to send or receive picture messages.

The easiest way to do this is after you add the ESN to you account is to dial *22801 and press send. It should say welcome to Alltel and then all you have to do is press 3 to program your phone and after that is successful you need to Dial *22801 again then press 2 to update your PRL and viola you phone will now be able to talk and text on your Alltel account

I bought a blackberry 8330 curve it is locked to verizon i want to switch it to alltel i dont want to spend money if i dont have to i know someone can help me out i also wanted what are your opinons of the...

The phone should not be locked. Verizon phones will work on Alltels network. Once it is on the Alltel network you just need to update the PRL. Alltel phones use Alltels network and Verizons network so it really should not matter what name is on the phone.
